Oct 2024: Food portions were generous. This is quality Southern food like I used to get a long time ago. Didn't know places like this still existed. Catfish was pretty good and the salad bar was fresh with considerable choices. Order a plate of Today's Special or off the menu. Pricing was very affordable.

The food was very good, service was very good, owners were friendly and generous with the portions. The atmosphere is tough to describe because we were the only diners there. The lunch crowd was long gone, we were there just after 2 and they close at 3. So it seemed like a large empty room. We were there for the food, not the ambiance. Will eat there again, no doubt.

We lucked out and stumbled upon this restaurant on chicken and dressing day. It was so good we’ve been trying to plan another trip back to Hartwell just to have it again - but we can’t predict what day it’ll be available!

My sister and I went in for lunch on a Saturday at 11:00. I got a hamburger and tots that was really good, and my sister got the hamburger steak, baked potato and slaw. She said it was all good. In fact, we went back for lunch the next day at 11:00 and got the buffet bar. The chicken, beef tips, slaw, cabbage, mac n cheese and mashed potatoes, was really good. However, my sister didn't care for the pinto beans. The slaw was so good, we got extra to have on our hot dogs while camping at the KOA. I would definitely go back, prices were very reasonable, and the service was great. And, I will definitely be back for the Friday night fish.

Very homespun local place. In a strip center next to a Tractor Supply. The decor is not perfect but the food is good and the wait staff work hard. Nice salad bar, all you can eat breakfast for dinner on Wed., Shrimp on Thursday and Fried Fish on Friday night.
Food is reasonable and worth giving it a try.

Place was very reasonable for what you got. The fried chicken was fantastic along with the green beans cornbread, roll, and squash casserole.
