Best venue ever. I'm a retired DJ and have seen so many other places, but this one tops them all. Tip: replace the flower pots peat with real dirt. Two were on fire and I had to pour a picture of water on them. Peat moss is comon but not appropriate for venues where people drop their cigarettes in planters thinking it's safe.

This is from the perspective of a videographer. This place is simply stunning! Awesome interior-exterior options and pictures/video was perfect. Plenty of opportunities to capture the golden shot.

I know (from overhearing) that the wedding party had a tough time with some coordination and set up- not sure if that was due to their planner or the facility management but either way they made it work. So I can’t speak from a pricing rental perspective, But for my portion of the wedding though it was a perfect venue- would definitely recommend!

Very nice wedding venue. Accommodated 350 guest with room to spare. It's in the country, very quiet, secluded with nice rooms for lodging. They went over an beyond to help provide Great memories. Highly recommend.

My husband & I got married at JP Denmark in June of 2024 & we had the absolute best experience ever! 10/10 would recommend this place! I had so many comments about how gorgeous of a place it was. Mary was an absolute blessing replying to all of my questions within an appropriate amount of time.

We shared a large room with friends. The facilities were clean and the main hall area is beautiful. The care takers were polite. The room amenities were extremely lacking. We were given towels, no microwave, no coffee pot, no ironing board, no closets or hangers and no lamps. It was bare but the room across the hall had every item listed? Was not impressed, but the rest of the facility and cash bar were amazing. Great for weddings but bring your own extras! GPS takes you to correct location, hard to find without it.

On behalf of all the guys at Flo Aire heating, cooling and electrical wanted to thank all the staff, the guides and owners for a unbelievable weekend of pheasant hunting. The hunting was great, the food and service was amazing. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with open arms. Everyone was so pleasant to talk to and deal with. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great weekend/hunting experience.

The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. We loved the rustic, homey feeling inside and the beautiful outdoor space as well. We got so many compliments on our venue and questions about how we found it etc. It is important to note that they only provide towels for the rooms, no personal care products like shampoo so keep that in mind and be prepared.
The only two downsides for us were how far away it was from Sioux Falls. We ended up having many guests that would have loved to stay but didn't want to share a bathroom, or didn't have anyone they felt comfortable with to split one of the bigger rooms with and couldn't afford a bigger room for just two people. Because of this many of our guests left pretty early (our wedding was in the fall so sunset was at 7pm). The second downside is that sometimes the communication was lacking. I believe the owner works full time and runs this venue/hunting lodge on the side. Because of this it would sometimes take 1-2 weeks to get a response. While I understand the challenges of juggling multiple jobs as I do that myself it was frustrating at times waiting for answers because it delayed the planning process sometimes. However I will point out that they made sure they were available and responded quickly the week of our wedding to confirm last minute details. I think they got a couple of new employees right around the time of our wedding so hopefully communication will improve with some extra help.
We had some major changes to our wedding last minute due to an unexpected loss of a family member due to Covid 19. They were very empathetic and patient with us as they worked with us to figure out how we were going to proceed. I was so very grateful for that as it had been a very stressful couple of weeks.
I think everything turned out beautiful and I can't wait to see the professional photos.
