While we unfortunately missed out on the whale watching portion of our tour due to unforeseen circumstances, Juno Whale Watch and Tours still delivered an unforgettable experience! Our trip to Mendenhall Glacier was absolutely breathtaking, and our guide, Harmony, truly made it special.

Harmony was a fantastic guide - funny, clever, and incredibly knowledgeable. She kept us entertained with fascinating facts and stories about the glacier and surrounding area, and her passion for Alaska's natural beauty was contagious. The glacier itself was simply stunning, and we were able to get some amazing photos.

Even though we didn't get to see any whales this time, we were so impressed with Harmony and the overall experience that we would definitely book with Juno Whale Watch and Tours again in the future. Highly recommended!

This was such a great experience! My husband and I were able to get last minute tickets for the 3pm excursion, and we're so glad we did. Our tour guide, Ian was knowledgeable and shared insights on our bus ride to the boat. Captain Brenden, Morgan, and Calvin were great! We lucked up and got to see 4 whales during our tour, and one of the whales breached. We definitely recommend using Juneau Tours and Whale Watch for your whale-watching tour!

We had a fantastic experience with Juneau Tours. We took the shuttle tour to Mendenhall Glacier, and our guide, Frank, recommended the hike to Nugget Falls. He was absolutely right—it was an easy hike, about a mile in and a mile back, with no incline. The falls were magnificent and mesmerizing. Although the glaciers have receded significantly, seeing them from a distance gave us a profound sense of the area's history and natural beauty.

Special thanks to Cali, who was in constant communication with us from booking to the day of the tour. Initially, the weather forecast looked unfavorable for the day we were going to be in Juneau, so I canceled the tour. However, Cali assured us that we could rebook if we changed our minds. When we arrived in Juneau, the weather was much better than anticipated, and Cali promptly helped us rebook the tour. Her quick responses and cooperation made all the difference. We highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore the stunning landscapes of Alaska!

This was such an awesome experience! We found this whale watching tour before we left for our cruise. We booked it on our own and couldn’t be happier that we did. Carrie & Tess were so nice and knowledgeable. The whales we saw were amazing. The boat was brand new. We had people ranging from 7 years old - 81 years old in our group & everyone loved it. I couldn’t recommend this tour more.

We are so happy we were able to book this tour at the last minute. Unfortunately our helicopter tour was cancelled, and we were able to book with this independent whale watching company. And we are so glad we did this tour. The team were pleasant, knowledgeable and knew right where to find the humpback whales and orcas. It was incredible. They picked us up with a bus and delivered us back to the cruise on time. I would definitely book this tour again and not go through the cruise excursions.

Completely exceeded expectations- amazing trip where we saw many humpbacks and sea lions. The ship crew (Morgan and Shay) were knowledgeable, personable, pointed out many glaciers, and were great with everyone (all ages) on the boat. Captain Ben led us to see so many whales, took us past beautiful scenery, and the ride was pretty smooth. Our bus driver (Kip) kept us entertained and shared lots of Juneau facts on the trip from town to the dock. Definitely recommend!

Shay, Tess, and captain Scott were phenomenal. Tess was so great with our kids and talked to them about the wildlife. Shay was so knowledgeable and helpful, also great with the kids and generally just lovely to be with. Such a winning team! They made our trip so fun. And that’s even without mentioning the whales. We got to see humpbacks and then we had the privilege of seeing orcas! So rare in these waters. It was a wonderful time, highly recommend! (Also much more reasonably priced than the tours on the cruise boat)

I booked the whale watching tour via Viator for October 7th 2024. The boat itself was comfortable and nice. Captain did a great job finding several opportunities to see whale breaching the surface and showing their huge tails. Regulations only allow a boat to get so close, but it was still a worthwhile experience. Morgan was knowledgeable and entertaining as he engaged with all the travelers on our tour. I would certainly book this again.
