The villas are amazing. Beds are super comfy. The decor is updated and the resort grounds were clean. Atmosphere was relaxing and peaceful. The adult pool was very lack luster. Water was cloudy and there was no pool side service… even on a weekend. No music or DJ which was kinda disappointing.
There were a few things about the spa that I wasn’t a fan of. My daughter turned 21 and we were there to celebrate with massages. While checking in, the lady at the check-in desk, VERY loudly decides to let me know how much my total was for the day (with my daughter standing next to me and other guest to hear) My daughter doesn’t need to know how much I spent on her special day because she feels badly about that kind of things. Also, the spa requires you to check in 30 minutes prior to your service and they don’t have any clocks to keep track of time. So if you’re enjoying the amenities prior to your service, you have no idea what time to check in.

This place is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It has a certain calmness as soon as you walk in the door. The lobby is gorgeous, there are no shortage of things to do, there are a number of restaurants right on property. You don't have to leave to be entertained. It's family friendly and works for adults only. There are several pools and hot tubs. Our room was amazing. One thing I will mention is, the boat to the lobby isn't how you arrive, it's not free ($10 fee per person) and you have to make a reservation to get on. Only down side in my humble opinion.

Our stay at the JW Marriott was unfortunately marred by a series of frustrating experiences, leading us to reconsider our longtime loyalty to the Marriott brand.

During our first night, we encountered an unforeseen issue: our bathroom started flooding due to a clogged shower drain. We promptly contacted the front desk, and while the staff resolved the issue, the inconvenience was a jarring start to our stay.

Upon leaving, we realized we accidentally left some clothes in the closet. Recognizing our oversight, we immediately contacted the hotel within two hours of our checkout. Initially, we were relieved to hear from the item recovery department that our belongings were found and promised an email follow-up. Unfortunately, that was the beginning of a long, arduous process.

The promised email never came, and we had to make repeated calls to receive any form of communication. Even after submitting a formal request to have our items returned, updates remained elusive. Over a month of persistently calling—each time enduring long wait periods—finally culminated in disappointing news: the hotel informed us that our items were given away after 30 days, despite our continual efforts to retrieve them promptly.

Initially, they promised a refund for our lost items, but this too fell through, and they have since refused any compensation. This level of customer service is disheartening.

Regrettably, this particular property's lack of professionalism and regard for guest belongings has led us to question our previously unwavering support for Marriott hotels.

Fabulous resort. We stayed for a large conference we attended. It was perfect! Large space but easy to get to the room between sessions if needed and stunning grounds! Great pool and great restaurants on the resort.

Great service! This is a huge resort but still offers great service like a smaller hotel. At the pool, spa, Rockwood grill, and housekeeping requests we experienced pleasant and timely service. Our experience was a five star resort and felt treated like welcome guests. Upon arrival the parking valets were friendly and helpful. Our check in experience was also wonderful with a happy greeting and complimentary upgrade to a room with a spectacular view of the mountains and golf course. Our luggage was brought up in a timely manner with helpful staff as well. This will be our go to hotel for future stays.

9/28/24 - I was greeted by Raymond, prior to check-in… he and I had a lovely conversation, and during our conversation he still helped other guests, still grabbed the door for others, gave directions, introduced me to other Marriott teammates and still remained focused on our discussion! He is amazing! Loved meeting him and loved our conversation.||Anelise, front desk check-in, was wonderful! She recognized my Bonvoy status, gave me 2 bottles of water and breezed me through check-in. Again, a wonderful Marriott team member!

The hotel it’s very nice, service was good, the hotel is well kept. The room we stayed in need it a little more cleaning, we could see dust on the tables and the sofa definitely needed to be washed!! |The bed it’s ok. The pillows are way too soft, if you like soft pillows you will love them. Even sleeping with 2 pillows your head totally sinks in the pillow!! Next time I will bring my own pillows. lol |The hotel was having a seminar when we there and the hotel was sooo busy. At night time the bar was so crowded and noisy till 12am, making it hard to fall asleep since our room was straight out to the bar. |Over all we had a good stay and we will be back. I will just request a room far from the bar. This will be our staycation when we want to get away.

We stayed here on a free Marriott night and it was a great stop on our road trip. The bed was extremely comfy and the staff very friendly and helpful. We had to bring in medical supplies and the porter brought in two luggage carts full and unloaded with a smile!

Room service was quick and delicious and we ate at Aquifer 65 in the lobby. The lobby restaurant is delicious and quiet - well thought out to keep down noise and good for those with sensory sensitivities.

We spent plenty of money while at the resort, but we don’t regret any of it!
