WOW! I cannot say enough how amazing Katelyn and her crew were for my wedding. We are so thankful to have had her a part of our special day. She oversaw every detail that could have been handled from the moment I met her until we shut off the lights at the venue. She is very attentive and organized. She seriously made the process of planning a wedding so carefree and stress free. After having Katelyn as my wedding planner I have been recommending that EVERYONE who gets married hire a wedding planner. She asked me questions I never would have thought of and it was so great to just enjoy my wedding day and to have my friends and family there to just relax and not fuss or worry about anything. I was not able to help set up the decorations due to not being able to get into the building until the morning of, but Katelyn and her team created the ultimate fairy-tale dream come true for me on my wedding day. It was more beautiful than I could have imagined. I can honestly say that it was the best day of my life and I know it couldn't have been possible without It Takes 2 To Say I Do. If I could hire her again I would do it over again in a heart beat. Thank you It Takes 2 To Say I Do for making our special day so wonderful.

Katelyn is a superstar wedding planner and completely rescued a wedding that was being held in Traverse City for our son and his fiancée, who live in Los Angeles. The previous wedding planner had failed to book on site hair and makeup (for 12) and bus transportation (for all wedding guests) 8 months after being hired, so the bride had to scramble to lock in these services just 7 months before the wedding. After this debacle, the bride hired Katelyn, who graciously agreed to take over, and even found a way to personally handle their wedding festivities, when another client agreed to having Katelyn's assistant manage their event on the same day. Katelyn immediately was brought up to speed and handled each and every detail with extreme care and professionalism right up to the wedding weekend events. This enabled our son and his fiancée to relax and have confidence that every issue would be discussed and resolved to their satisfaction.... and it was! Even with the 3-hour time change and their very hectic work schedules, Katelyn always made time to discuss questions or concerns before they became a crisis. She also helped me orchestrate a large rehearsal dinner at our home, facilitated having the entire wedding party ready for first look photos at our home, and ensured that everyone arrived at the wedding venue, ready to go, in plenty of time. None of this would have been possible without Katelyn's wise counsel and on the scene suggestions. She did everything well and even handled extremely challenging rental delivery drop offs and pick ups at our home with grace, calm problem solving and determination. I simply couldn't have asked for anyone better and would hire Katelyn in a heartbeat for any event that needs a planner. She is exceptionally well-suited to this profession, and our wedding events went off without a hitch because she is experienced, smart and a talented problem solver. We will be forever grateful to Katelyn for her contributions in making our wedding events magical and even better than any of us could have imagined!!!

Katelyn went ABOVE AND BEYOND for our special day. All the behind the scenes work that she did helped this day go absolutely perfectly! If there were any fires to put out, I didn't even know of them because she handled absolutely everything! She helped with set up for the reception and ceremony, she helped bring food to both bridesmaids and groomsmen, she helped with transportation to the first look and bridal party photos, SHE DID IT ALL!

She was so positive, so easy to communicate with beforehand, assertive when needed, and truly knew what she was doing.

Hiring a coordinator, specifically Katelyn, is an invaluable thing you can do for yourself for your wedding day and I can not recommend her enough!!! 🙂

One of the BEST decisions I made for our wedding was to hire Katelyn as my Day of Coordinator. She went above and beyond and handled so many details I couldn’t have possibly done myself. She was eager to help the month before the wedding. She created a timeline for the big day itself and for all the vendors. She touched base with all my vendors weeks before the event and again days before my day, relieving so much stress knowing she had it taken care of. I had been unable to set up my ceremony and reception decor the day of the wedding, Katelyn and her assistant were set and ready to take action first thing in the morning of my wedding.
