Very expensive and they charge extra for every little thing. You pay a lot to buy in, and you can't sell it, then you pay a very high monthly bill. The food has gone downhill....very bland...and the healthcare needs improvement. It is a good place if you are healthy and mobile but if you are ill or frail, not so much.

If your looking for work, this is not your place. Your pay, is not worth the work you do. People may smile and laugh here, behind those smiles and laughs are people who hate their jobs. Only admins in this place get good enough pay. If it's not the pay, the people here don't listen. It's a team, TEAM, effort here. There's no I in team. If you make a mess, clean up. People trash the place and people who never did it clean it and get in trouble for it.

If you wanna live here, I think it may be better to live at home. That's my opinion for the living here. You'd be better off spending your money for services at home. If your here to make some friends and stuff. It's not rrally worth it. I would spend my life here. Not to ANY degree. It's a waste of time and money.

There is so many issues with this place. I know places have their fair share, but this is more than I've ever seen. This is a place making like about a 1 mil or more a month at a time. That's too successful of a place to have so great of problems. Between communication, pay, and the lack of care this place has. I'm very disappointed a place like this even exists. It's a shame. Really is. You'd have a better time some where else. This place is NOT worth your time. Not until they fix things (Which they wont).

Whatever good things you heard on this place, I'm sorry, but it's wrong. Maybe the Kendal in PA, but not here. Each Kendal is their own entity with the Kendal name. Each runs things differently sadly. They are piggyback riders off of a good name and tainting it. I can't say much of the other Kendals, but I know not this one. Take your chances for the others. Just not here.

Super accommodations. Can't believe how much room my dear friend has here. Taken care of so nicely. Is a great place to move to when the time comes

Ten days after we moved here nearly four years ago, I asked my husband how it felt to be here. While I was an Oberlin College alumna and former staff member, he had no Oberlin ties. "I feel more at home here than I did in 50 years in East Lansing," he said. Meantime, we often say to each other how lucky we are that there is a Kendal at Oberlin and that we get to be part of it. We love contributing to several of the 100+ resident-created and -run committees and interest groups and benefiting from others...not to mention all the concerts, lectures, theater, and college classes we can audit free of charge. It's no wonder that the average age of new residents is younger than elsewhere. In addition to the vibrant community, there's great food, a lovely campus, an outstanding administration, and wonderful care for residents who are ill or frail.

Kendal provides a great upscale retirement experience for the many people who can afford it. The Kendall staff goes to whatever lengths necessary to keep Kendai a wonderful fairyland in which bad things happen only to people elsewhere.

The business planning model for Kendal appears to consists mostly of extrapolating the status quo and not doing a lot of thinking outside of the box about how our radically unstable and changing world will impact Kendal in the future.

The more you hate President Trump the happier you will be at Kendal.
