Could not have been happier with Eric as our driver/tour director/comedian/entertainer/overall best ever guide! It really made our trip to Ketchikan the highlight of our Alaskan cruise. He took us to see black bears, eagles and otters at Herring Cove. He pointed out eagles nests along the way and stopped at a creek where he caught salmon and held them in his hands to show us the different varieties before returning them safely to the stream. He even helped me set up the camera I bought when he drove us to the local Walmart! Wish them the best of luck in all of their endeavors.

We had a delightful day with Eric in Ketchikan! Eric picked us up promptly at port at our agreed upon time. He gave us a great overview of Ketchikan, eagles at the shoreline, attempts at bear sightings at the creek, a fascinating trip to the Totem Park, where Eric knew all we needed to know and guided us through the crowds. We continued our scenic drive through the area, amazed at Eric's knowledge of species and details! He was great! So happy we booked this for our introduction to Ketchikan! (This trip was July 2019, late to post).

I will start off by saying, in the event you do not want to read my whole review, that Ketchikan Taxi Cab Tours, was one of the highlights of our Alaskan Cruise.

I just wanted to compare and contrast our experience with two ports, Juneau and Ketchikan. Having booked tours in skagway and Ketchikan, we decided for our first port, Juneau, we would rent a car and do a self guided tour. It was nice, but we spent alot of time driving aimlessly and time is precious when you only have a short amount of time to explore. I won't go into detail, because this is a review of KTCT. The take away is, we saved some money, but wasted time.

On the morning of our arrival on the NCL Bliss into Ketchikan, Tim, our driver and owner of the tour company met us first thing at our scheduled time. One of the many highlights of this tour, which was more a matter of circumstance, because our ship was in port early and none of the other 3 ships had disembarked yet, we were literally the first tourists to visit Creek Street. It was totally empty except for the people who worked there. We were able to get pictures without the hordes of people roaming about. Like I said, this was mostly due to our arrival time, but also the fact that KTCT caters to small groups, we were whisked away in Tim's van withing a minute of meeting him on time, saving precious minutes for some great photo ops.

Next we launched into a frenzy of seeing how much wildlife and natural splendor we could pack into a short amount of time, and they delivered. Tim has an eagles eye for spotting things I would have been sure to miss.

The BEST part of the day was actually riding around with our guide. Tim was a hoot! A year round resident of Ketchikan, Tim really gave us an insiders view of the town, its culture, history, quirky facts, ect... He is such a kind soul and seems to know everyone in town. If you happen to get Tim as your guide, I think there are several other drivers, you are in for a day you will not soon forget, He really embodies the Alaskan entrepreneurial/ prospector spirit as he is involved in many different things in Ketchikan. I 100% recommend booking a tour with this company. It was so personal and fun. A great alternative to having a seasonal guide drive you around with a tour bus full of people.

Thank you Ketchikan Taxi Cab Tours for a great experience.

Called for a cab, was was yelled at and informed that he's "not a taxi." I suggest that the name Taxi Cab be removed from the business name in that case.
