KidCity is a museum for young children ages 1 to 7. It's located inside a historic house built around 1835; it was called the Camp-Sterns house and it was used as a covent for 70 years by St. Sebastian Church. The church donated it to be used as this museum. Before going, a reservation is required; making reservations was easy on their website.

There was a metered parking lot behind the museum; when we went on a Wednesday, it was $1 per hour. Checking in was easy. There is a room where you can eat and drink, since you can't do that inside the exhibits; there is also a coat room and gift shop. Each room had a theme and kids are encouraged to pretend play. There are three floors and the room themes are:

1. Fishery
2. Space aged road trip
3. Middleshire
4. La Piazza
5. Rollerducks
6. Toddler Sea Caves: for children 2 years and younger.
7. Main St.
8. Farm

They have artists that created these exhibits. The attention to detail was amazing; from the steam coming out of the sinks, the fake fire and sounds from the stoves, and the fire pit at the Middleshire, to name a few. The artwork was very intricate and well thought out. I give major props to the artists!

We visited for my son's birthday and they gave him a free T-shirt, that's so awesome. The customer service was great. There were plenty of restrooms with changing tables. My family and I were there for a couple of hours and the kids loved it. I highly recommend a visit if you have young children! It's definitely up there with one of my favorite children museums thus far. Also, it's in a great locations with tons of restaurants nearby.

Great place for kids! Wonderful playzones and indoor playstations. Tons of kid friendly rooms. Plenty of seats for adults. Bathrooms have free diapers/ change of clothes/ etc. Free coat room for bags and coats. Seating areas for lunch and snack times. Discount for EBT card. Reserve a spot ahead of time as this is a popular place to visit. Street parking is $1/hr or unmetered in handicap spots. Had quiet zones, rooms for those that need it.

This was genuinely the BEST children's museum I have ever been to! My son just turned one and we decided to go. They have an entire basement floor for 2 and under and it's the COOLEST room ever. My son loved it. We also walked around the upper floors and the stuff they have here will keep him entertained and learning for years as he gets older. I can not wait to go back and neither can my son 🙂

My toddler loves this place and since we started going a year ago they've added even more. A ton of variety of themed rooms and interactivity across different ages which is great. I will say while it's nice that there are new spots and rooms in the place I'd like to see them maintain or fix up some of the older spots. There are some spots that also have stairwells that could've probably been like a slide or something so it's not as abrupt because my kid definitely wants to run everywhere and that's kind of a surprise when there's just open stairs. Also is reservation only so book your spot.

This place is really fun, even for adults. We had kids ranging from 2 to 8 kept busy for hours. The rooms are interactive and designed to make the kids collaborate. Basement level is for ages 2 and under only. Personally, the Fishery and Middleshire are the coolest. Best to make reservations online as we almost didn’t get in by walk-in because our group was big.

We are from Louisiana but went here on a trip to Massachusetts and we're so impressed. They do require reservations so we booked the morning of for lunch time. There weren't a whole lot of other people there which was nice bc it was quiet and you got some rooms to yourself at times. We spent almost 4 hours there with our 3 year old. We'll worth the money.
