The visitor's center was closed when I was here, but this is a great area for families to come to. There's a large picnic area and a playground, and restrooms here. Lots of wildflowers and dandelions come in during the Spring. There's a large grassy area so you can bring a soccer ball or football, or whatever.

Really nice visitor center. However it is only open during the summer tourist season.
There is a picnic shelter nearby as well as a swing set.
To hike along the dam to the end of the road and back is about three miles round trip.
The visitor center is very nice. A few displays in the dam as well as what the dam provides (recreation, flood control).
I would no go out of my way to visit. But if you are camping in the area, well worth stopping by. If your bring your bicycles along, you could ride along the dam and then do some exploring on that side of the resovoir.

Nice place to walk out on the dam. It's closed at this time of year so there is no traffic out there for walking.

I go here and walk across the dam. It is marked how far you have walked. There are benches to take a break on. The view over the lake is nice to see.
