Neighbors were quiet. Families were well maintained. Laundry was nice and reasonable price. Got propane filled. Staff was all very nice, friendly and helpful. I did not have enough blocks to level out when I arrived. Went to the onsite store. They were out but the ladies in the office scrounged up enough blocks for me to borrow. They delivered the blocks to my site before I could walk back. and with a nice note too

Our visit to KQ Ranch RV Resort in late September was far from what we anticipated. The resort was eerily quiet, reminiscent of an abandoned KOA. As an immunocompromised family, we were very clear about our accommodation needs when booking. Corporate was exceptionally accommodating over the phone, which gave us hope for a pleasant stay.

However, upon arrival, the staff's demeanor was unexpectedly hostile and uncooperative. We had been assured by corporate that our "sales pitch" could be conducted at our site due to our specific needs, but the resort staff refused to honor this promise. Despite our efforts to compromise by breaking camp to meet them halfway, the sales manager's attitude was dismissive and discriminatory towards our accessibility requirements. Her behavior was so unprofessional that she even attempted to have us removed from the park.

We reached out to corporate, who apologized profusely for the manager's conduct. Despite their apologies, we chose to leave, as we no longer felt safe or welcome at the resort after such a distressing encounter.

For those seeking accessibility and basic human decency, KQ Ranch RV Resort is not the place to go. While corporate may offer assurances over the phone, the reality at the park is disappointingly different.

Overall, our experience was deeply disappointing.

My husband and I visited KQ this past weekend. We are already members. To start, our GPS misled us to the wrong turn, not a nice thing in the dark, with a very long trailer and on a steep windy road
where traffic drives fast. Pay attention, you want to turn on KQ Ranch rd, NOT Cuyamaca Meadows (private rd). From our first interaction with staff, Josh, he was kind and escorted us to the site that we selected.
I cannot imagine if we had tried to find the spot on our own in the dark. I love this resort! Reminds me of camping with my parents when I was young. There is so much to do for everyone. This is truly a big kids paradise and my heart was full seeing all
of the families having quality time together. Fall is a lovely time to visit this park. Cool crisp air while sitting around the campfire (propane). The clubhouse serves
meals and always has coffee, tea and cocoa available from a dispenser. We did not know that Julian is a tourist attraction during the fall due to the apple orchards and famous apple pie (available in almost every store and at KQ on Fridays). We visited Julian Friday morning and were able to see everything we wanted with no lines or having to navigate through 5k people-I RECOMMEND VISITING JULIAN DURING THE WEEK, at least during the fall.
Resteraunts are expectedly pricey. Things to keep in mind about the resort: there is a very nice tree canopy some of the trees have giant pine cones, if you do not want pine cones dropping on your roof then do not park under trees. There are tack/puncture Weeds, if anyone plans on riding a bike, it is best to put tire slime in the tube, and regularly check your pets feet.

Beautiful place to be. I recommend people being a member. Very friendly environment. Visited family. So many activities to do, wasn't there long enough to do. The people who work there work long hours and hard yet still very friendly. I absolutely loved it here. Over 5 star rating. You can camp in a tent or trailer or you can visit. We had neither tent or trailer. Very Family Friendly! Had parks, tennis, golfing, pool, spa, food, gift shop, hiking, gold mines, and lake to go fishing, pets are welcome and Beautiful view! Over 5 star deserved. Everything on the website matched description! Congratulations! Love KQ Ranch!

We got a free “invite” When you listen to the sales pitch however their customer service and the quality of the place helped us make our decision easily. We were told on the phone we could be next to our friend but at the gate we were told different, so we complained and the gate staff was very rude. Apparently for complaining we got the dreaded hill location with insane winds and spots full of weeds that haven’t been maintained…. Possibly ever. Once at our spots we had about 5psi water pressure, which is normal and I was to use my holding tank and water pump. Apparently they don’t want to fix their problems but have work arounds for you to do. This place was probably cool about 15 years ago before they stopped caring. All the roads are mostly potholes and probably haven’t been maintained also not street signs or markings for directions. A lot of the cool features were trash also the mini golf course had several holes that you couldn’t use the rc track wasn’t in good shape either. I guess it was worth what I paid for it which was nothing. Also no WiFi at all.

David and my husband bonded on their military time in alaska separate by about 40yrs. He was very friendly and accommodating we originally were going to stay for 2 days but were able to extend for another 2days after his sales pitch we were NOT forced into anything. We got a free week there based on our rv purchase. We arrived on site for memorial weekend, and the fact that they were willing to give us FREE nights to camp during this time is just awesome! The place is absolutely beautiful. The scenery is so breathtaking. The air is fresh and clean. Yes, it can get windy here no its not an issue! They have heaters in the women's bathrooms the showers have benches and shower chairs for those with disabilities and trust me it was a life saver as a mother with a child with special needs and they were clean! The bathrooms by the pool and clubhouse have a rustic charm. The pool was also clean ? not too cold they have complementary water and coffee at the clubhouse. They have different activities to do every week. Dinner tickets must be purchased by 3pm on Friday and Saturday they also offer breakfast their prices are very reasonable unfortunately didn't partake but will definitely next time! Everything was clean and in working order the store in site is well stocked the city is very beautiful definitely a small town feel I recommend this place during the weekend most winery farms and fruit stand places in Julian are only open for the weekend

I have a timeshare membership with Colorado River Adventures. They are dog friendly and have 3 RV parks in CA and several others in AZ which is the only way I could vacation with my pets. I love both Cherry Valley and KQ Ranch for their charm and rustic feel.

Checked this place out since we got a free weekend after purchasing our new trailer. We were able to bring a guest but when we arrived they were an hour behind us and were told that they couldn't guarantee us next to each other. They gave us a spot which was up on a hill and pretty and luckily enough our friends were able to be right next to us. After they set up their site it was extremely windy. We asked to move to a lower site and again were told that we wouldn't be able to be next to each other. There were plenty of open spots. We found ones and told them what ones we were taking. They are nice enough about it. The people there were all very nice otherwise.

The actual campground is really pretty but it was all very run down. The pool was cold, but we did catch some blue gill in the pond.

At our sales meeting were told all the reasons we needed to be members but in the end it definitely wasn't for us. If there maybe was some updates or if they made it easier to actually camp with your friends we would of thought more about it, but we declined. They weren't pushy at all which was cool of them.

*It seems like it's always windy here. Be aware. There was some really high winds or at least it feels like it in our little travel trailer. Wasn't able to sleep at all.
