There is very little to do here. Only one small hiking trail and access to the lake. There's no playground, restroom, or water. $2 per car entry

It was very, very peaceful out there today. A couple people were enjoying the path and another couple was at the picnic table. We didn't see any animals, not even a bird! We did see litter at the lake and on the trail. May or may not visit it again one day. It costs only $2 to visit this little park area in some true Florida scrub.

Rode my bike to and through the park, walked to the water and walked the trail. Saw an eagle, turtle doves, evidence of wild boar, report of a cottonmouth or water moccasin. Spring and moving water was a big surprise!

If you are a nature freak and love exploring new places. This is a must. But be sure to come with a partner as there are bears 🐻 in the park. They are most active during dusk and dawn. Bring bear spray if you go on the hiking trails. This place has a really nice view of the lake. One thing I didn't like was that at shore there where lots of mosquitoes (I went in August). It is so peaceful. There are a couple tables if you wish to have a picnic with family under shaded area.

My rating is based on the expectations of visitors. But it is an excellent place.

This is a beautiful scrub park complete with scrub Jay's, a short nature trail, and lake access. This is a definite short stop for nature lovers, birders, and fishers.

However, I don't think the limited focus of the park will suit those looking for a full day of excitement.

Beautiful view, but only view. Lots of bugs standing here. Also they have a loop trail that is nice and clear at both ends, but the middle part is not and full of spiderwebs and very narrow. It looks like people just go to the end of both sides where is cleared through. My kids and I are not most people and went through the middle (a little harried for those with arachnophobia)🥴 felt like a little like walking through the jungle. But we love that sort of stuff, go figure. Also through the middle was a bridge with a cool little brook everyone else misses, because they walk only on manicured part of the trail. Suggestion, feel a little adventurous go through the middle. Caution: the middle section not recommended for small children because of the condition of the trail.

We're on a mission to hike all the state parks and this was number 10 for us. Very small but beautiful, right on the water, perfect for a picnic and a walk 😊

This place is in bad need of attention!
The trail was overgrown to the point of not wanting to walk through it and the picnic table was literally in the lake, with the sign lying nearby.
