Was on the way home and picked this place because it looked close to highway on map. Though it is only a half mile from the highway as the crow files, it is over 5 miles down a winding road that actually crosses over I-20 TWICE. Got to the office a few minutes after 4pm and it was locked, all lights off, but the was a clerk inside who opened up and let me check in. Staff were friendly and helpful. This is the ONLY time I've ever appreciated having an escort to my site because the roads inside the park are treacherous. Definitely would not want to navigate my trailer in here at night or if it was rainy or icy. The whole park is built on a slope down to the lake. Roads can be steep and there are lots of twists and turns. The hill climbing out was so steep I had to drop into low gear. Our site was tiny. We barely got our 30ft trailer onto the site. We had to park the truck sort of sideways with the back wheels on the concrete deck. We didn't even get a picnic table. Have never had a site that didn't come with a picnic table. Smaller pool looks nice. The water level in large pool is 3ft below pumps, pool is green and dirty and has damage and looks permanently closed. Laundry has only 2 dryers for 5 washers so there is always a wait. The only bathrooms/showers are either next to laundry or all the way down at clubhouse. No trash cans and only 1 dumpster for whole park. At $29 with my discount this is the cheapest KOA we've been to. And sadly, the park is only worth about that. It looks like they are in the process of rebuilding some decks, and they've just run new power lines over to the old, abandoned tennis/pickle ball court. So maybe they are trying to fix the place up. I was going to give them 2 stars but when I discovered a laminated sign at the clubhouse announcing weekly cult meetings I opted for 1 star. Plus, the place is a little scary. There are extremists that live along the road leading here, as well as at least two extremists who live here. Will not be back. We camped at Lake Oconee / Greensboro KOA Holiday in a Fifth Wheel.

We absolutely love it here! We’ve felt welcome by every employee since we first arrived. Everyone is so kind and helpful from management, to front office staff, to cleaning, grounds and maintenance employees. They’ve all become like family to us as we’ve stayed for multiple months now. Everyone works hard and truly cares about keeping the campground and all its facilities clean and well taken care of for every guest. Their activities they usually have are great to participate in if you travel with kiddos. As well as their reptile center and small parks. They ensure your sight is clean and prepared before you pull in. They assist you in pulling in your site. The staff deserve so much praise for their hard work and dedication and they’re always willing to lend a hand if you need help with anything! We are so grateful for this KOA and everyone who works here!

I stayed for 3 nights. We arrived as a late check in. We got there around 10:15. There is a "late check in" room that stays open from 5:00pm to 11:00pm. In this room, the left the key to my cabin and registration form. You just fill out the form and drop it into the box. There is a number to call for an escort to your cabin. I called twice, but no one answered. The did leave me a map of the property so I was able to find the cabin on my own. No biggie. If you arrive after 11:00pm, you can "boondock" in the parking lot for $15 until the office opens at 9:00am.

We got to our cabin and it was nice and clean. It included linens, towels, and everything you need in the kitchen to cook. There were portable heaters in the rooms. I don't think the A/C worked but it was cool outside so it stayed comfortable inside.

We purchased wood for a campfire at the office. Our campsite was so quite and peaceful and had the most beautiful view of Lake Oconee. There was also a nice table and chairs outside for us to enjoy our dinner outside.

There is the cutest little coffee shop in front of the property. It is in an old train car. The person working the shop was very nice and helpful. They have interesting menu options and add ins for your drink. The prices are competitive with other coffee shops. We were able to view the menu and order online. My daughter went to pick up our drinks. One of the KOA managers offered her a ride to the coffee shop on her golf cart. She even waited for her to give her a ride back.

We were in an out at various times of the day and night. The property is dark, but I love that for the "camping" experience. the grounds seemed well kept. The roads are narrow, so it may be difficult to navigate for larger trucks, but it was fine for my mid-sized sedan. It was so quiet each night we were there. We didn't even see anyone outside after dark. In the mornings, you see people out early walking their dogs and saying "hi" to other neighbors. Everyone was so friendly.

At the entrance to the property, on the opposite side of the coffee shop, there is a nature center. There a 3 goats, squirrels, bearded dragon, and a few other animals. The lady in the nature center was very nice and came out to chat with us and talk with us about the goats.

We enjoyed walking to the beach area. We really couldn't enjoy it as it was chilly out and raining, but the sunsets were absolutely gorgeous!

Upon check out, they ask for all linens to be put in a bag or pillow case and left by the door, cabin swept, dishes washed, and trash taken out. No biggie. There are 2 dumpsters on the property, located at the front. May be a bit of a walk, but we just put the trash on the back of my car and drove to the dumpsters on our way out.

I have no complaints based on my experience. This is a campground, not a 5 star hotel, and based on other reviews I've read, I feel some people forget this. This was an amazing experience for me and my daughter and we will definitely be staying here again!!

We booked our site through Travel America. The staff was great when I had to reschedule twice due to my mother's health. We get there and was told we had a great site. I beg to differ. We were next to and across from full timers, and a camper that no one was ever at. The site was so unlevel that when we put out the auto leveling, the tires on the right were 4-5" off the ground. Thank goodness we bring wood blocks to set under the tires. The steps to get in the camper had to be stretched so far we had to set leveling blocks at the bottom to make an extra step. The water pressure was very low. Couldn't even rinse out the black tank due to such low pressure. Definitely will not be returning.

Stay was great until we had no water. The pump at the KOA broke, and they told us it wouldn't be fixed til Monday this was Saturday, then they tried to sell me water!? Ummm, no!! I paid for water as part of the amenities. And told the front office that we could not leave to pick up anything when you're in a 38-foot rv , its kinda hard just to pick up and go when we were supposed to have water there. Also, we went out on a boat ride . The gentleman, when taking us out for 20 mins, was very nice, but when we asked how much to rent it, it was 400$ a day for a janky pontoon boat!? Old seats dirty and ripped. Come on, KOA, that's a ridiculous price. But back to no water, When I said about compensation, for NO WATER, meaning no showers, no cooking, dishes, laundry, something you pay for, the front manager said, "Oh yeah, we're looking into it." I never heard anything else. So we were without water all day. KOA never said anything about it or tried to make it right. I wouldn't have been as mad if they had not tried to sell me water at the front, then complained that they couldn't take showers either since they lived there. Difference is we are on vacation and paid to stay there. I will go somewhere else since I know now that if something goes wrong, they will not compensate you. Just a sorry. I understand the weather you can't control, and it's in agreement no refund , but no water for over 12 hours is a different story.

Wonderful setting of hilly, tree filled KOA next to the Lake. Tiny 1980's modular home was clean, well stocked kitchen, and had good bed & linens with hot water for this 2 bdrm 1 1/2 bath unit. Great view of lake.

I would think this KOA could get quite busy @ another time, but I was there early January & it was perfect level of occupancy.

Wonderful coffee shop in PJ's Coffee of NOLA just down the road that I frequent when I travel. Love the beignets & granita.

A very nice campground with wonderful lake views. Two inground pools AND lake swimming. I believe boat slips are for rent also. This is a mixed use campground - both transients and seasonals. While my travel trailer is small, this campground had some very large rigs on-site the week we were there. There is a laundry room, activities center, small store stocking essentials and golf carts for rent. Loved our stay!
