I sat in my room for 4 and 1/2 hrs in complete silence because of no tv service. I went to the front desk to ask why. The skinny kid said he called direct tv the day before and is still waiting on a call back (Thats a lie) so after a few hours, I ordered food from the restaurant in the same hotel. Ordered it pickup, when I go in, every tv in there is working just fine! I asked the waitress about it and she had no answer except for "well we have direct tv" SAME AS THE HOTEL!!!!! So 135 dollars later, in hundreds of hotels Ive stayed in, Come to realize, this place is cutting corners in the offseason. Wont stay here again and will notify my co-workers who frequently come to the boji on a weekly basis not to as well. They will be utterly disappointed too as this place was recommended to me. If I was boss pizza, Id end your lease asap as your staff and service and food was great.

I would never stay here. My friend got married at the event center so I booked a room and ended up cancelling months in advance. I called after I saw the charge on my card and they said they would look into it and they never called back or answered my follow up calls. Poor front desk and poor managers.

We had a LONG day on the motorcycle and Evan at check-in was super pleasant and helpful. Someone should give him a raise! The room was average - air conditioner was kind of loud and the fridge made a weird noise. The room could definitely stand a make over, but it was all we needed for 1 night. We were in the 1100 block near the pool, so the hallway was VERY humid. Breakfast was average. The best thing was having the restaurant on site so we didn't have to leave again. I highly recommend their "broasted" chicken! The hotel is also very convenient to the Indian factory location that we are touring shortly.

Positive: My daughter loved the pool area! And the live music at Boss' Pizza for supper was great on the patio. Negative: It is much more outdated than the photos lead you to believe. The bathroom leaves something to be desired. There were no towels in the pool area.

Overall not bad. Definitely can see they're trying to make improvements. The bar is a pizzeria so is open late which was nice. Washcloths were yellow and threw me off. Match your towels. The chair and ottoman in our room should've been on a dump two years ago.

I had the pleasure of coming back to perform a wedding reception at Lake Okoboji resort. I have to tell you as an entertainer the service was outstanding. They have an overhead door so I could bring the vehicle in to unload out of the weather. The acoustics in the room are fantastic. The staff is phenomenal to work with. It was a complete home run. I would come back every weekend if it was possible. If you're planning an event like a wedding or a corporate event, I would definitely consider this Event Center.

This place is super clean, everything in the room is clean and well organised. Breakfast had so many different options. My kids loved the pool area they also had an out door pool that was also open and well maintained. Nice and clean fitness centre. Restaurant had good food. There was also a salon on site and a bridal shop. Would definitely recommend this resort to anyone travelling to Okoboji.

We initially reserved our room for two nights nearly two months ahead of time but decided to shorten our stay to one night about a week prior to our arrival. When I called to make this change, the response from the hotel representative was less than pleasant, as I was subjected to a lecture on my request. Despite this, we arrived at the hotel as planned, only to discover that our reservation was missing. It took the front desk staff about 15 minutes to locate an alternative room for us, which, thankfully, they managed to do. The room we were given was spacious and fairly clean, which is where my praise ends. The A/C units for the rooms were poorly installed, resulting in a disruptive "current" in our room that was caused by strong winds. The noise was so significant that it prevented us from sleeping at all that entire night. Additionally, our sink flooded during our stay, making it unusable. Overall, I would not recommend staying here, especially for the price we paid.
