Me and my Husband recently had the pleasure of hosting our wedding reception at The Laramar, and I couldn't be happier with our experience. From the moment we inquired, the booking process was incredibly straightforward and stress-free. Sadie is very responsive, accommodating, and provided all the information we needed to make our decision quickly. One of the things that stood out most was the transparency in pricing. There were no hidden fees or multiple extra costs like most wedding venues. This made budgeting for our big day so much easier and allowed us to focus on other important details without worrying about unexpected expenses.
The venue itself was stunning, with beautiful, well-maintained spaces that worked perfectly for our reception. The team was professional and helped everything run smoothly. My friend had her wedding here and it was a joke. The in house DJ was playing a playlist called “Olive Garden Music”, couldn’t pronounce the couples new last name, didn’t pace out the grand entrance AT ALL. The DJ was also given a playlist for the entire wedding - attached is a picture of someone from the wedding party that had to go up to him and tell him exactly what to play after the bride was getting upset. The “bridal suite” that they had to pay $600 for what is typically their lounge area with a curtain. The area was visible from the bar and there was only one outlet available which you had to go on the other side of the curtain to get to it. The entrance to the room was closed off by a curtain which obviously isn’t very secure so a male caterer ended up walking in on the bride while she was changing. The drinks are ridiculously priced and half of the liquor bottles had fruit flies in them due to staff not putting caps on - this information came directly from the bartender. After I couldn’t order multiple shots due to fruit flies being in the liquor the bartender told me to blame management.

Every single event I have been to at the Laramar has been outstanding. I've attended many events they've put on I leave even more impressed every single time. Sadie and all of her staff are wonderful. I highly HIGHLY recommend hosting your next party, recital, reception, whatever it may be!

Sadie Andersen is the best. We just had our daughter's wedding at the Laramar. The renovation is absolutely beautiful. It was the perfect venue and Sadie's talent in decorating both the building and for the wedding is amazing. She was on site and available for any requests we had. All that was left for us was to enjoy the weekend. We were there all three days, rehearsal and dinner on Friday, wedding on Saturday and brunch with gift opening on Sunday and Sadie was with us for all of it. Her staff was awesome, too. If you are looking for a venue for a special event, the Laramar is definitely a place to check out.
