What a hidden gem! We ordered 4 appetizers and split an entree and we left stuffed and with leftovers. The Bronzino fish was seasoned well and the rice that cones with it was excellent. Although it took a while for the entree to come out it was well worth the wait.

My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to visit and have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose Amasi Restaurant for Phillipsburg, our 142nd town.

What a great spot! We're lucky to live in a state with diverse cuisines, but Middle Eastern food is not common, at least not in this part of the state. When we saw Amasi, we knew we had to check it out. It did not disappoint!

The restaurant is well decorated with images, goods, and housewares from Jordan (which are also sold besides the food). Service was great! We enjoyed the Mutabal (oven roasted eggplant mixed with yogurt that you eat with fresh pita-like bread) as a starter. For the main dish, we shared the Laban combo (also known as the Amasi combo) which was a mix of kebab, shish kebab, and BBQ chicken with rice and fresh salad. Yum!

The food was so good that we put in for a second order of the combo to go! It was the perfect dinner the next night at home. If you're passing through the area on I-78 coming or going from PA, skip the numerous chain restaurants in the area and stop by Amasi!

Went for the grand opening buffet, so we got to try a lot of things! Most of the food was really well seasoned and well flavored. The hummus was outstanding, super smooth and creamy. The chicken was a little dry, and the aloo gobhi was a little plain, but everything else was fantastic! Will be going again soon!

When I enter this restaurant, I was immediately impressed by the authentic design and decoration. Also this is the only restaurant close to Easton/Phillipsburg area that offers Hookah with food. Authentic and delicious food. The mixed appetizer & mixed grill platter were great. Nice ambiance, friendly staff all topped off with the most delicious Kunafah (cheese pastry) I had in a while and some nice strong Arabic coffee. I would strongly recommend this place if you’re carving some authentic Mediterranean food and good kebabs. It would an Amasing experience 😉

Nice place, the decor and layout is nice. Although it’s pricey we tried the falafel platter and Kuftah. The Falafel was good, the Kuftah is a large hamburger patty topped with tomato sauce, and tomato and potato slices. It was meh. It’s BYOB with one of the best liquor stores next door so I suggest stopping there first.

It was my first time trying this restaurant and I am so impressed! I'm not sure if they're a new restaurant in town but it was fairly quiet when we first showed up. However, their staff were very kind and the atmosphere is so nice as well! Today they offered a buffet style and we got to try so many different dishes, and I loved each plate I got to try! I truly recommend this restaurant to anybody wanting to try Mediterranean cuisine because they are fairly affordable and their food is delicious! 10/10 would recommend and come again.

We were very happy to find this little oasis in Phillpsburg. Amazing food and great service. The staff was very friendly. All the food tasted fresh and delicious. The restaurant was very spacious and well decorated. Overall a great experience and I would highly recommend.
