Jeff and his team are amazing. Worth every penny and then some. They make things easy and fun. Most importantly their local mountain knowledge is off the charts. If you want fresh POW almost daily, they are the guys to help you find it... I have been going to them on a yearly trip for 3 years and I am booking again for the fourth year in a row...

-update: four years in a row now... and they just keep getting better and better. their condition, culture, and experience in Hokkaido keeps showing up and making them the best of the best.

I will tell you, I went in to the trip to Japan to ski with fairly high expectations having heard about the amazing snow there. All of my expectations were exceeded. Yes, the snow was great, but what made the trip was Jeff, Jeff, and Crystal. They knew the right places to go, for skiing, for dinner, and for drinks. Couldn't have asked for more from these guys. They work hard but still know how to have fun. I HIGHLY recommend Le Grand Adventure Tours.

What an amazing trip to Niseko and Otaru, Japan! Jeff Robertson and his team made an international travel halfway around the world as easy as it could be. Our guides Elias Holt and Ben Stone are super knowledgeable and willing to share techniques and tips to help us learn all elements of backcountry skiing. Elias and Ben were more than the typical ski guides I have experienced with other companies. They wanted to share and experience with us the best Japow has to offer. Elias and Ben had to work extremely hard to find us the fresh pow but they delivered each and every day in not so easy conditions. They would make sure we were taken care of after a long day of skiing with their knowledge of the restaurants and bars. This REALLY was a trip of a lifetime and I owe it all to those two guys. Thanks, Jeff Robertson, for making such a great choice when you assigned Elias and Ben to our trip! We all had a blast from first day to the last!

Before I start rating the quality of skiing, I need to express my feelings towards Jeff Robertson and Jeff Easter, our amazing guides in Japan. On top of having a well organized, relaxed, and friendly operation; there is so much more I need to expand on.

I’ve been skiing for 35 years and thought I could handle anything. These guys will push you to the next level if you want. We wanted it and 8+ days in the backcountry of Japan was the best experience I’ve ever had. The only way any one to know is to book a trip with LGA. Thanks,

I did a lot of research into doing a guided ski trip in Japan and ended up booking a trip with LeGrand. Based on my experiences, these guys had it all figured out. The guides are world class and their knowledge of these mountains is pretty incredible. Our trip in Japan actually had less than desirable snow conditions and we had no snow in the forecast, the LeGrand guides moved us around and put us higher into canyons where it had been snowing day after day and we got some incredible skiing. They really made a pretty difficult job look easy, Jeff is a professional at what he does. Next up is the second half of the trip, the onsens, the food; and the bars. These guys know all of that too, we ate incredible food and got to meet some amazing people along the way. Booking another trip with these guys for sure! Thanks again boys!

My family spent a few days in Santa Cruz and I got the hall pass to bring my mountain bike. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to ride some epic singletrack up there so I contacted Jeff at Le Grand Adventure Tours and we set up a ride. I had the pleasure of riding the Demo Forest Flow Trail with Rob. He was such a great guide and let me dictate the pace of the day. For a first timer and out of towner, this is the perfect service! No issues at all with the company and I would happily use them again and recommend them to anyone.

I had an awesome Japan powder ski experience! Thank you Jeff Robertson, Jeff Easter and Crystal Kay Robertson for making me feel like being part of Le Grand Adventure family! I had some ski travelling before comming with you guys, but in this trip I really felt the adventure and the finding the best powder adrenaline! Can't wait to meet you again!

Our guides knowledge of Otaru restaurants/bars and mountain terrain really made the trip special despite mediocre snow. I had full confidence in the guides competence and mountain safety. I was lucky to meet the owner, he is passionate about snow, safety, and the service he provides. He also has high expectations of his staff. Fantastic trip and service. I would return for another trip.
