Very overpriced and they nickel and dime you. They charge you for extra dressing, and they also started charging an extra dollar for their wraps (to pay for the actual wrap!). Without the wrap it’s a salad! Not worth it. Bought food here a few times to give them a shot. I’ve been disappointed each time. No issues with the staff.

I was at Northwell Manhasset and they charged me $2.66 for these two tiny salad dressings. I hope they get rid of them in this hospital . Everything is so overpriced. Go downstairs to the employee Cafeteria. A pack of dressing is $0.50 cents. I should have just left it there and said forget it.

Very disappointed and heartbroken. We arranged for my daughters wedding on November 12. This was supposed to be the happiest day of her life instead it's turned out to be a complete nightmare. We booked the Crane Club back in January on 2022 and my daughter had been working with her day of coordinator for almost a year. Two days before the wedding our day of coordinator informed my daughter she would not be at the wedding due to time off. Every intricate detail my daughter and her had gone over was out the window. "1st major red flag" .

Along with a laundry list of things that went wrong we later found out a dishwasher stole cash gifts from my daughter and her new husband to the amount of $3,000. I have the police report and the dishwasher is still on the loose. Needless to say I am very disappointed and upset my daughters beautiful day will be forever marred by the poor service and handling of her wedding and crime caught on camera!

I can't even begin to explain how embarrassing it is to have to call family and friends and explain to them we had been robbed during the wedding and ask them how much their gift was so we could record the loss.. Just recounting this story makes me sick.
What was supposed to be my daughters beautiful wedding day memories will be forever scarred by this!

The Off-Premise Catering team at Lessings went above and beyond to make our wedding the best it could possibly be. My family and I were blown away by the efforts of Steve, Estee, Barbara, and the rest of the team. Making arrangements was a breeze, and from the second I met Steve, I felt so much more at ease about planning The Big Day. Our off-premise venue meant our wedding would mostly take place outdoors, so I had a lot of concerns regarding bad weather. Steve and the team have seen it all, and their experience assured me that they would make it a great party regardless of any foul weather – and that proved to be true. When the wind and rain hit our wedding, they were all prepared and it turned out not to be a big deal.

Not only did Lessing’s make planning the wedding so much easier, but they did an outstanding job on The Big Day. The food was absolutely incredible – I couldn’t believe it was from an off-site kitchen! The staff’s attention to detail was very impressive and everyone was so kind and seemed to genuinely want the day to be the best it could be.

I HIGHLY Lessing’s Off-Premise Catering to anyone who is planning a wedding or for any party/event. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Went to a wedding catered by lessings recently, not impressed at all. I witness one person ask one of the young men walking around a tray of appetizers during cocktail hour, if an item contained peanuts. The young man said " it should be O.K. This is unacceptable. A food allergy can kill. At dinner I asked for the fillet medium rare, it came medium well. In hindsight, it probably only came one way. If all the fillet was over cooked, it would have been nice for the young lady who wrote down what we wanted to say there is no medium rare. If I had known that I would have asked for the chicken. Instead I just sent the overcooked steak back and went to Burger King on the way home.

Lessing's catered our outdoor wedding in mid-September, and exceeded every single one of our expectations!

Lessing's helped with setup, provided passed apps and a cold table for cocktail hour, did a plated dinner for the reception, and provided the open bar. The food was excellent, and the service was better - all of our guests had a wonderful time.

Steve was a pleasure to work with, and was attentive, understanding, and extremely helpful, and Barbara was a fantastic matre'd and went above and beyond!

I would like to thank Steve, Barbara, and the entire Lessings team for the job they did, and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a catered event.

We had our daughter's Bat Mitzvah at Smithtown Landing and Lessing's was second top none. From the first meeting to the day of the party. Everything was set up for us as promised. the food was superb and the staff did an awesome job satisfying every possible need of the day. The bartender was excellent as well. Mandi did an excellent job as well keeping us organized and informed. The Lessingg team far exceeded our expectations. Five out of five stars for this group at Smithtown Landing!!!!!!
