One of my favorite coffee shops in the whole city. The coffee (especially their specialty ones) are always outstanding. Right now they have a tiramisu latte that was perfectly sweet. The service is top notch and they have a way of making you feel welcomed. My fiancée and I stop by at least once a week because of how good it is! 🙂

I had the most bizarre experience this morning. When I ordered our usual — including a glazed old fashioned — the man behind the counter corrected me, saying, "Ma’am, that’s not a glazed old fashioned, it’s a buttermilk old fashioned. Don’t confuse my staff who are in training."
Quite confused at this point (because it was clearly glazed), I said, "No, this is a glazed old fashioned." He repeated, "No, ma’am, this is a buttermilk old fashioned, there is no glaze on it and when you come here next time, please order it correctly." He argued with me a couple more times about it and insisted I was wrong and that they have had this donut for a year and that it is not glazed. Bizzare. Why do you have to argue with a patron so much on the name of a donut.
If I were actually mistaken, I’d gladly admit it — but we get this old fashioned donut every week. It’s my husband’s favorite. I know the difference between glazed and not glazed. I genuinely felt like I was being gaslit. To speak to a customer in such a condescending and dismissive way is completely unacceptable. Our family will not be returning.

Thank you for your email, one-star google review, and photo. We have a raised glazed doughnut, which is different from the buttermilk old-fashioned.
I've attached both doughnuts we carry, and what they are called. Differentiation between the two helps our employees ring things up correctly, grab you the correct doughnut, and keep out inventory accurate.
Since you won't be returning, and it is very important to you that you call it a glazed doughnut, please be sure to call it a buttermilk old fashioned if you go to Do-Rite to get the same thing. Otherise, they will give you a different doughnut.

I never referred to the donut as simply a "glazed donut." I referred to it as a glazed old-fashioned, which is what I have consistently ordered at your shop without issue—until this recent experience. My concern was not about the specific naming conventions of your menu but rather the way I was spoken to.
A simple clarification would have sufficed, but instead, I was met with an argumentative and condescending tone. Your response to my feedback only reinforces that dismissive attitude. I had hoped for a professional acknowledgment of the poor customer service, but it’s clear that’s not a priority.
Thank you for confirming my decision to take my business elsewhere.

I recently tried out the iced churro latte and loved it! I struggle with overly sweet lattes, but Preston was super wonderful in accommodating my request and my half-sweet latte was perfect on both occasions! ❤️ I really love the unique latte concepts they have, I'm sad I missed out on their red velvet with cream cheese cold foam latte. Looking forward to trying something new next time and visiting the Lakeview store soon!

I love trying new coffee shops and Levant has been an amazing spot! They have unique flavors and I have especially been loving the pumpkin pie latte. The donuts and pastries are delicious as well. The everything danish is savory and I loved their strawberry pistachio donut. I cannot say enough great things and the service does not disappoint!! 🙂

Levant has quickly become my family’s favorite coffee shop in RV. Drink quality and consistency is 10/10. Staff is very friendly and takes time to get to know their regulars. We bring all of our out of town guests & they love it too!

The energy in this shop is breathtaking! The customer service is top notch! The drinks and pastries are delicious! If you’re looking for a place to start your day off great, or just need a boost of love, or even someone to brighten your day! Visit Levant!!!! It’s a one stop shop that will satisfy your soul, quench your liquid urge, & leave you feeling Awesome for the rest of the day! I have added them to my weekly budget! The Banana Hazelnut is my favorite however everything is delicious!

I’ve lived in the area for 8 years now, and this independent and locally-owned coffee spot is one of my favorite additions to Roscoe Village — and definitely my favorite coffee choice. The iced latte and iced tea lemonade are my go-tos. Lots of awesome dairy-free options are available, too. My toddler loves the juice boxes, so it’s a perfect parent & me stop on our way to pretty much anywhere. And above all else, the humans who run the shop and work behind the counter are my kind of people — authentic and kind. Next time you’re in Roscoe Village for a caffeine break, skip Starbucks (EW😝) and GO TO LEVANT! ❤️
