I'm going to rate this a 5 because of our sincere appreciation to the volunteers who agreed to open up for us, even though the museum was closed on this day.
The displays were about half of Lewis Grizzard and half of Erskine Caldwell.
I really wish that they had some Grizzard books for sale.
A life-long fan of Lewis Grizzard, it was a pilgrimage to visit this place.
Jimmy, who showed us around, also brough us to the nearby cemetery so we could visit Lewis' gravesite

Internet said open 10-3 but it was not open. Very nice lady who was setting up for a wedding tried to find an open door but everything was locked. So we went to peak in the windows and someone was working inside who stopped and took his time to show us around. It was VERY small but clearly a labor of love. Lewis Grizzard was half and Erskine Caldwell was half. Fun and interesting.

We were greated by a gentleman who was very knowledgeable of Lewis Grizzard and his life. The memorabilia is mostly donated by family and some fans and gives insight into his life through pictures and documents. Even though our visit was in August, it wasn't uncomfortable inside. The museum is kept open through donations as no admission was charged. Lewis's grave is also located in Morland but you will need a GPS to find it. The 200 miles we traveled to get there was well worth it to us.

Nice place. It has a lot of nice items to see that are related to Lewis Grizzard. Only opened Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Very nice curator there to show us around. It has moved to the end of Main St in Moreland, GA. Highly recommended has other items in the museum in addition to those for Lewis Grizzard.

Big Grizzard fan. They have a variety of items from his life and the gentleman who showed us around had some personal insight into Lewis the person. They have plans to expand and I am looking forward to seeing the finished product. If you go and no one's there, call the number on the door and they will be there shortly. Very friendly folks.

If you liked Lewis Grizzard you will love this museum. Great displays about Moreland history too. Lovely town that has grown hardly at all since Lewis was a little kid.

Arrived to find it closed, even though it was business hours. Called the number listed on the door and a very nice lady answered and explained that there was a problem with the heat in the museum, but if we still wanted to see it, she would send a docent over to let us in. 5 minutes later Mr Haynes arrived and gave us the grand tour. As a Grizzard fan, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Learned a lot about Moreland as well! They are in the process of acquiring new exhibits so in a couple of months we plan to go back!

I cannot actually rate the museum as I have not seen it. I am only correcting a possible oversight in the pictures on this listing. Most of the pictures associated with this listing are of Old Moreland Mill event venue. The Mill has been converted to an event center. The side section of the Mill does contain museum items and is leased by the museum from the town of Moreland, but the pictures of the large rooms and pews are of Old Moreland Mill wedding/event venue.
