I had a wonderful time at Lights of the South. Such beautiful Christmas lights and displays! It was cold (32°) which added to the ambiance of the season, in my opinion. My hubby and I decided to walk the trail in lieu of the hayride. The trail is roped off with lights and does have roots and uneven ground, but it's not difficult. They have firepits set up and sell hot chocolate, too!! It wasn't very crowded and the price is higher on the weekend.

This was my first visit in about 5 years, and my family and I enjoyed ourselves. The line to get in was not too long. The hot chocolate was reasonably priced, the bathroom was clean, and the lights were bright. I did notice tho that the rope for the line needed some attention and there was a massive tripping hazard in the middle of thr walk way I'm not sure who designed that but they need to re think it. I have pictures of what needs to be addressed. The tickets at the time were 16$ for adults, and if you want the fast pass, it's 30$ each

Impressive spread! This display is stretched through a mile and a half path. There are many themes along the way and many characters you will recognize. There are several safe fire pits to warm up with and you can buy smores kits and roast your own marshmallows. The pits are about 3 feet or more tall, so that's why I say "safe".
The walking trail is long and you walk up and downhill. It's wide enough for strollers, but beware that there are roots, dips, bumps, and a lot of uphill walking. This is a big workout!
If you have difficulty walking It's worth paying a little more and taking the wagon tour. We kind of wished we had done that after walking half of the trail. We spent over an hour walking the trail.
They sell hot chocolate and snacks. There is also a vendor there that sells sweatshirts, hats, mittens, gloves, blankets, and gifts at pretty reasonable prices.
There is also a kid friendly play area.
The display is worth it! Bundle up and be enchanted!

So much fun. Wish the food was hot and fresh. Burgers and dogs were sitting out when we ordered and the fries were cold. It was a cold week night. Not big crowds. Would have been nice to have warm food in our bellies. Warmed up with hot cocoa and cider. Santa was the Jolliest. What a sweetheart he is. Thank you for a great family time

My very first lights of the south! I can see the dedication and hard work put into the decorations. I’m glad the families and kids have a fun place to celebrate the holidays at! I highly recommend if you are in the holiday spirits! All photos captured by myself, Victor Otero.
