Rooms are comfortable and clean. The room has a small fridge, microwave and smart tv. Soap and shampoo was provided if you need. The cabins are on a hill, there is no path and no steps and can be slippery especially when raining. There is a dehumidifier in the room which is noisy as the a/c unit. The property is clean and quiet. It’s right on the highway and you pull behind the main office and park behind it. Parking is limited but enough. It’s right outside Jasper. Jasper is a small town that rolls up the sidewalks early, so not much to do in the evenings. Local dining is limited but good.

I'll keep this short...this place is comprised old, dingy, outdated houses, marketed as Chalets upon unsuspecting customers. Worthy of mention is the grumpy lady at the desk.
Save your money and Avoid this place.

Stayed here for two nights as part of a 2-week vacation to Arkansas. Choices are limited in the Jasper area, but the reviews for Little Switzerland Cabins indicated a decent stay. Overall, not bad. The current owners have only had the location for a couple of years, so the older reviews really don't apply anymore.

This older property is a work in progress, as it had been allowed to fall into disrepair over time and costs a good bit in time and money to bring it up to speed. Owners Tricia and Matt are working it a bit at a time. Our cabin was decent and worked for our needs, but even with the graduated updating to the property we have a couple of suggestions: Greater attention to detail with regard to cleanliness is needed. Initial impression is that the room was clean, but when you look beyond surface level (heavy dust on fan, mildew on shower tile grout, etc) it could be better.

Biggest issue was probably the mattress--most bizarre we've ever slept on, as it felt almost like a waterbed, with a huge bulge in the middle when one person got on it that gradually "deflated" over time. It was very tough to sleep on. Definitely need to invest in new mattresses. Know they are costly, but a hotel is primarily for sleeping.

Communication was excellent throughout, and again, Tricia and Matt are working hard to get this property up to solid standards. Overall, a good stay, and we look forward to seeing the improvements the next time we're in the area.

Very affordable place to stay. The cabin we had needs a little work as in there was mold around the shower and in other places but I think they are in the process of renovation ( not sure ). A friend and I stayed there for 5 days and it is very quite! The price was very reasonable at $90 a night..The thing I liked best was when you get back to your cabin, you can get some privacy from your traveling partner because one bedroom is downstairs and the other is upstairs, so that is nice! They have a nice TV, Coffee maker and mini Refrigerator downstairs as well as a small table to sit and edit photos, eat or whatever..Except for the mold the rooms were very clean and I will definitely be staying there again. The location is perfect because you are about 2 miles north of Jasper on Hwy 7 and that puts you in the middle of all the attractions the Buffalo River has to offer! I would definitely recommend this place!

My daughter and I spend the weekend hiking and this is the place to stay, we stayed at the Owls nest ( Guest house)which made our weekend perfect, very clean, great view and quiet. Great owners, Matt met us when we arrived and showed us to our cabin.
The Owls nest has everything for a weekend stay, full kitchen, full bathroom with tub and shower.
We had a comfortable stay and definitely will stay here again, thank you again for a great weekend
