We love Lonestar Adventure Sports. We've rented kayaks and paddle boards several times. They're always nice and helped us even when we were late for our pickup one day. The kayaks and paddle boards are perfect for beginners. The price is reasonable too.

The whole process from booking to paddling off in the kayak was smooth and easy. Just park at the bottom of the hill when you get there. We rented a double for our first time and made it over to the dam. Would definitely do it again!

I absolutely love coming to kayak here. it’s always a smooth transaction when I get there and the employees are very helpful with assisting in getting ready and out for your kayaking journey. The lake is absolutely beautiful and you get the opportunity to take a dip in one of the many coves they have. It‘s a dope spot to have a cookout and water day. I highly recommend anyone to Lonestar at Grapevine!

I did the sunset paddle with my daughter and we had a great time! The sunset was beautiful and our first experience kayaking on the lake was a good one. Our guides Will, Chase, and Peter the owner showed our group what to do and helped us enjoy our evening. They provided cold water before and after our outing. We will definitely do this again and recommend the experience.

We recently rented a golf cart with Loanstar Adventure Sports with the intention of enjoying a scenic ride around the lake before my son's proposal. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the golf carts themselves were clean and well-maintained. However, we were disappointed to discover that the area accessible by golf cart was quite limited. The advertised "scenic route" turned out to be a short loop around the parking lot, which took only a few minutes to complete. In hindsight, the entire area could easily be explored by car or on foot, making the golf cart rental unnecessary.

While the staff was professional and the carts were in good condition, the lack of a genuinely scenic route accessible by golf cart made the expense unjustifiable for us. After a lengthy discussion we were issued a refund less the security deposit. If you're considering renting a golf cart at this location, it's important to inquire about the specific areas accessible by cart to ensure it meets your needs.

Lonestar Adventures were friendly and accommodating. Single and double kayaks available and prices are reasonable.

This past weekend I rented a two-person kayak from Lonestar Adventure Sports on Lake Grapevine.

My dad and I were looking for a kayak rental place anywhere in the DFW area - and Lonestar Adventure Sports seemed to be one of the only options on my Google Search.

I booked my kayak online and also completed the waiver forms, which is advisable to do online and in advance.

FYI, to enter the park area and get to the Lonestar Adventure Sports location, you need to pay a $10 park entry fee to get into Rockledge Park. So you will need to add this to the cost of your rentals. This fee allows access to the park, which offers pavilions and covered picnic areas if you wish to utilize them before or after your watersports activity.

When we parked, it was a short walk to the check-in desk near the lake.

Getting our kayak was fast and easy, and the two young men working at the facility were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.

We got our lifejackets, which must be worn at all times, and headed down to the launch area.

We spent about an hour on the lake - in my opinion, there is not that much to see to spend more than two hours in a kayak.

Please note that there are no kayak rentals if winds are strong (over 18 mph). You can also rent stand-up paddleboards from Lonestar Adventure Sports as well.
