There are so many great things to say about Megan, and I would like to detail them as follows:

Initially, I was reluctant to have a wedding but felt obligated due to my parents' requests. After relocating for my job, I had to hire a wedding planner to manage everything. During my search, I discovered that Megan has an impeccable taste that aligns with our vision, and reviews indicated that she has successfully worked with long-distance clients before. We love her taste, which is evident in her portfolio and website design. We also enjoyed our initial email exchanges and the first meeting. She is nice and straightforward, so her communication style works well with us (or any other busy professionals). That’s why we decided to work with her, knowing it was a significant commitment to entrust someone with such a big project.

Megan soon proved herself and impressed us with her excellent vendor recommendations. She educated us on different photography styles, helping us find our favorite photographer. We were so impressed that we hired him for my graduation ceremony as well. We couldn’t be happier with the results, and we credit Megan for guiding us through the process and helping us find him. Our trust in her grew.

Megan is thoughtful and professional. She respected our preferences and found us vendors we absolutely loved and enjoyed working with. On multiple occasions, I learned that she took care of many details behind the scenes, but I only realized the extent of her efforts afterward. She never bragged about her commitment or discussed these things with me, making the whole process feel almost too easy. In terms of the timeline, the last two weeks were actually the easiest, allowing us to focus on enjoying the process and attending to our guests rather than planning the wedding itself. Megan's professionalism and thoughtfulness made the wedding planning process much less stressful. When the big day came, we fully trusted her and were able to thoroughly enjoy it.

What sets Megan apart is her design skills and her ability to make everything beautiful. We were delighted that, with her full-service package, she could make everything consistent and tasteful. The customized wedding invitation turned out beautifully and became one of my favorite parts of the wedding. The details were thoughtful, and we created many mini stories for the guests. Megan also proposed many creative ideas, such as the seating chart design and dog-themed napkins, making the wedding personal. She went the extra mile to perfect these small details. All these efforts made the wedding not only personal and memorable but also elegant and luxurious. Looking back, working with Megan was the best decision we made for our wedding!

It speaks volumes that our guests loved the entire wedding experience. There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing the smiles and happiness of our loved ones. Despite my initial hesitation about having a wedding, I loved every single aspect of it and wish I could relive this day again. It turned out to be a beautiful day and a smooth experience, just as I had imagined it would be when working with a capable wedding planner. I am truly unsure of where to begin as I am still processing how absolutely perfect our wedding was thanks to Megan! When we got engaged, I just knew I wanted to work with her and Louise & Third after seeing the magic she created for my sister’s wedding 5 years ago. I was so overwhelmed with the thought of planning a wedding in California (when I live on the other side of the country) and after our first meeting with Megan I felt instantly at ease. We were fortunate enough to get married on my family’s estate–which I know is no easy task for a planner to bring every single vendor in- but Megan was truly up to it and exceeded all expectations.

Planning wise, Megan made everything so simple, straightforward and broken down. I never felt bombarded with so many choices and decisions that had to be made at one time. She was so organized and thorough and conscientious of budgeting and honest. Her knowledge of so many vendors and their pros/cons made decisions so much easier. Megan was able to work with my schedule and coordinate meetings with vendors around when I would be back in California, and also took time to meet with my mom a couple of times.

Design wise, Megan absolutely CRUSHED it. I am so in awe of her ability to take the few inspo photos I showed her and the information I gave her of my style preferences (that I felt were VERY vague) and turn them into beautiful tablescapes, decor, etc. The number of comments and messages I have received stating that the wedding was the most “Annie” thing they had ever seen is a testament to Megan’s creative brilliance. If I could have painted a picture of what I envisioned, Megan’s design would have been it. Spot on. I am an extremely indecisive person and it was so nice to have someone I trusted to design mock ups etc, and have them perfect on the first go around. Like I keep saying, Megan nailed it. She truly understood me, even in my few words and lack of ability to describe what I wanted.

On the day before and day of, Megan seamlessly coordinated all the vendor deliveries and set up at my parent’s house. While I was busy with rehearsal dinner and our wedding mass, I never once was worried about how the reception set up was going. I knew everything and everyone was in good hands with Megan.

If you are contemplating hiring Louise & Third, don’t wait, just do it. You will not regret it. I will forever be grateful to Megan for the amazing memories she helped create for my husband and I and all of our guests!!!

Hey there, you! (yes, you!) If you’re anything like me, you appreciate a good detailed review online. I did too when I was looking for wedding planners to work with, so here I am paying it forward. I hope my review of working with Megan gives you enough insight to make the best decision for yourself (and hopefully, it also means hiring Louise & Third for your wedding!).

In brief, my experience working with and hiring Megan is that she:
- Keeps things very real; authentic and transparent communicator (the biggest pro in our book)
- Made wedding planning actually fun and enjoyable for me (the bride!) and also my stress level was always close to zero for a whole year of planning. This I hear is unheard of in the wedding world, so I think that’s saying a lot.
- Is very well connected with wedding vendors, especially local ones in Southern California. This means you may very well end up searching/liking/hiring a wedding vendor that happens to have previously worked with Megan (read: ALCHEMY!). This was a huge bonus for us and our wedding magic ?
- Is thoughtful in personalizing your wedding (and I don’t use this word lightly)
- Is culturally sensitive, LGBTQ+ friendly, compassionate about my disability, etc. basically a great wholesome human being. (honestly I can’t believe this needs a shoutout…alas these are the times we live in ?)
- Has an IMPECCABLE eye for detail and design (very important if you’re hiring a planner for a full service wedding package!)

But you may still be wondering if you need to hire a wedding planner at all, never mind Megan. I really hope, however, that you DO genuinely consider hiring her. I ended up nicknaming her my fairy godmother by the second half of the wedding planning because that’s how much she grew on me as a person and planner. I felt genuinely taken care of through so many of her actions and thoughtful recommendations.

Oh, and to clarify: When I say Megan is super creative, I don’t just mean that she’s a great planner and designer. Rather, I mean that she’s a super problem solver. She’s amazing at solving problems on the fly, thinking from first principles but also with an open mind, helping me (and I’m sure, her other clients too) expand/stretch their vision and planning an absolutely fantabulous wedding experience.
