Guys here were really friendly and helpful. There is a lady that answers the phone and she is so lovely to talk to, and incredibly helpful. I have not caught her name and didn't get to meet her the day we went canoeing, but we had a great time. Try this place this out, besides the blue herons, fly fisherman, pretty wildflowers, so much beauty to see

Phenomenal experience! Myra and her whole team at Mainstream are super friendly and made everything really easy. My girlfriend and I rented a canoe and had an amazing time on our first ever trip down the river. Beautiful scenery, saw some cool wildlife and even stopped halfway for a quick swim. We will be definitely be going back. Highly recommend!

We drove up from Long Island, called then when we made it out of the Bronx because we didn’t know when we were leaving our house or how long it would take us to get CT. We called left a message, they called us back immediately, we were able to book 1 canoe for our family (2 adults, 2 young children). It was our kids first time in a canoe. We had a great experience from our adventure to the business transaction. They were very accommodating since we were kinda of a “walk in” last minute trip booker. We had expectations on canoe down the river but was told the rivers waters are controlled by the army corps and they haven’t released water to raise the depths of the river. Nothing they could do. So we we’re given the option of canoe on the lake which was perfect for our family. Delivery and return of the canoe were very easy and simple. The lake was beautiful. This business is very family friendly, clean, well priced. Just a great business

Perfect service and helpful advice- thank you! I had a great time kayaking the 6-mile paddle on the upper river- my first time kayaking in any level of "rapids"! I got caught up a couple times in the shallow rapids sections but pushed myself out easily, and learned what areas are more/less shallow in those spots. Lots of anglers fishing, good practice maneuvering around 'em.

My group hosted a party of about 35 people last night at Main Stream Canoe--was wonderful! The space was perfect. We hung up lights and decorations, and we even set up an apple cider press! Highly recommend for parties.

The staff are very friendly and easy to work with and the delivery aspect it is very convenient. However, today was the second time renting a kayak from them. The first time we rented two and it was all a good experience except the kayaks were filthy and the paddles too small. I gave it another chance because of the convenience and staff but this time was worse. There was an old nest in the kayak, cob webs, leaves, spiders etc. it was unacceptable. I went to my car and got my picnic blanket because I wasn’t going to sit in the filth. A customer should never be presented with a product in this condition. I will not go back and will not recommend this place.

The staff is very friendly and they make their best for you to have a pleasant experience; they provide clear indications about what to do and how to make the best of your experience. They have sunscreen and bug spray if you need any. The site online is self-explanatory and you can easily book in. But for the practicalities of where to pick up the kayak and all, it is better to call.

We did the 7 mile lower river trip. It took us an hour longer than expected because we we’re having such a good time floating along when we should have been paddling. The lower half of the river is very slow moving which the two college aged guys who worked at the shop told us. The service was great. I called ahead to see what kayak would be good for me since I’m 6’4” and the call was very helpful. The two employees were super chill and knowledgeable about the river and didn’t mind that we were late for the pickup. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
