Started off well than exc director decided he wanted to get rid of the homeless residents in favor of rehab residents. Their junior staff member will do anything to get you kicked out if he doesn't like you.

I literally tried calling this place for a week straight (7) days. The line is always “busy” absolutely absurd. Aside from that I couldn’t elaborate on much more. I hope my sister is ok or anyone else who may be needing to get ahold of family.

This was my very first homeless shelter to ever stay in. And I have never been treated like such disrespect like I was by the staff at this shelter. I never bothered people I always did what I was asked to do without any problems. The staff made me feel like I was nothing while I was there . I had never in my life had to turn over my medication and have it counted and I wasn't able to get to my meds when I needed to. I strongly recommend you going somewhere else to a much better homeless shelter to one where they don't tamper with your mail and lie to you about sending it to you and them trying to get you to confess to stealing stuff from another person who told lies to them about me to get me kicked out. I know for a fact that momma Ts is hiding stuff from the public about the way they actually treat everyone in their shelter .

I needed a temporary place for my son and I while we waited on an apartment. I was not given a written copy of the policy nor was it THOROUGHLY discussed with me. A few things were mentioned. Also, I was TOLD by a STAFF MEMBER that I could leave my son for 30 min until I got home from work, but I was told by the director I couldn't do that. Almost every day I got in trouble for violating the policy when I didn't even know the entire policy. I broke curfew one time and had no prior written violations so I would take one because I went to a funeral that day, but the staff member told me that if I didn't get back ASAP I would be ban for 30 days. How can you do that? That wasn't mentioned to me from the policy and don't they have to have reasonable cause? I wasn't intentionally non compliant nor confrontational or verbally or physically violent.

If you are homeless go elsewhere. If you are going thru any kind of program this is your place. I have never been in a homeless shelter where you had to buy your own food and cook it. Using a stove was not optional, so unless it was microwavable well darn. Businesses donate for a tax write off when they should be opening a legitimate homeless shelter in Ada. I have had to stay in numerous homeless shelters where my meds stayed with me. But I immediately handed them off to a staff member who did a pill count on a terminally ill, not in a program person. Because of theft and my over use of my meds is none of your bloody business. I have 12 extremely good Pennsylvania doctors that know how I take I meds. I do not need a recovering anything preaching to me. By the way, tampering with someones mail is a federal offense. Us actual homeless were treated like we were worse than people that had committed crimes. No crimes, just extremely hard times with pandemic and economic shutdown. This is supposed to be a place for empathy, compassion and motivation. Not a place where an terminally ill person feels she has to fight for what is right. The current staff is made for a halfway house. Not a homeless shelter. They false advertise by saying homeless shelter. It is a halfway house, where homeless get the short end.

I called the shelter for a close friend who was having hard times and was told that it wouldn't be possible for them to receive help because of a medication they took. He said that he could be a liability. My friend is in an MMT program following the rules of the program and passing all drug tests and has had months of clean time. I was under the impression that the staff would want to communicate with the MMT clinic about the counter and ensure that the person was telling the truth about their recovery but it was very quick that he was denied without even being given a chance . It was a very sad and difficult time.

I never even made it through the doors of this place.. I called to see if they had a bed available and the female that answered the phone started yelling at me about an active warrant on a and that she couldn't even tell me that there was a bad available until I called atoka county and set up a payment plan and blah blah blah and how am I supposed to do that when I don't have a place nor an address nor a job to set up a payment plan or to give an address with because I am homeless? And then she hung up on me!! I would die in the streets before I referred anybody to this place or step foot in it
