Updated for wedding!!! Will sum it up and say hiring Jess & Matt to do the photos and video for our wedding was our BEST decision. The photos blew our expectations out of the water and the video was absolutely incredible (I had debated about adding on the video package and can't imagine if I had skipped - it's our biggest treasure to relive the day - and the creativity and beauty of the moments they put together still leaves me speechless!). Jess & Matt are exactly the kind of people you want with you on your wedding day - they bring both a calm and fun presence in the lead-up to the ceremony, and your family and friends will quickly rave about how lovely they are. They are just the best and we will forever be grateful!!!!!

Where to begin! I cannot say enough about how wonderful working with Jess for the first time was! We did our engagement photos with Jess and are anxiously awaiting working with both Matt & Jess for our wedding in May (for photo & video).

Jess was incredibly helpful in planning, with suggestions on locations, styling, etc. And when it came to the photo shoot itself, Jess made my partner and I feel so incredibly comfortable - we had fun with each other during the shoot and any nerves about the process beforehand were quickly put to rest. As soon as we finished, we knew we wanted to book Jess for our wedding - her energy is exactly what we wanted around us on our big day.

Oh and the photos! Incredible! I’m always critical of myself in photos and was nervous with how I’d feel about them. I told Jess as soon as I opened the album on my phone I instantly saved down 40+ favorites.

Matt and Jess were amazing photographers to work with. They are extremely talented, give great verbal cues, and definitely know how to capture the moment with the best lighting. Our wedding photographs are absolutely stunning and I could not be happier with the end result. My husband and I got married in Santa Paula, California and our dream was to include our horses in our wedding celebration. Matt and Jess took our vision and made our dreams come true. Hiring Matt and Jess to be our photographer/videographer for our wedding was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Our wedding was on the beach in Carpinteria, CA in August 2022 and Matt and Jess captured the day in a way that I didn’t think was possible. The photos are absolutely incredible, it’s impossible to choose our favorites! And we still watch the video on an almost daily basis. The photos and videos make us laugh, cry, and instantly bring us back to the best day of our lives. But not only were the end results perfection, but the entire process with Matt and Jess was wonderful. We did an engagement session with Jess in May 2021 to get a feel for their style and we left knowing that we had made a great decision. Not only did Jess make the engagement session super easy and comfortable, it was actually really fun! Throughout our engagement Matt and Jess stayed in touch making sure they had all the details and information needed for the big day. The day finally came and we didn’t have to worry about a single thing - we didn’t even have a shot list and Matt and Jess knew exactly what we wanted captured. They helped us with the timing of the day and the flow was flawless. We got every photo we wanted but never felt rushed or pushed. We were super comfortable and never felt too “posed.” They really got to know us as people and as a couple and we love them not only as photographer and videographers but as friends 🙂 we will forever be grateful to Matt and Jess and the huge part they played on our wedding day. I worked with Jess for a 3 hour laid-back beach wedding shoot. She was hands down INCREDIBLE. None of us had ever done a photo shoot before, so I was not sure what to do or what to expect. I had no structure planned or artistic vision. Jess was exceptional and very professional - knew exactly what to do, and made it so easy and stress free. She basically curated and guided us through the entire thing from start to finish! And it was no issue at all for her to coordinate with multiple groups and locations.

The photos themselves came out perfectly. The style and the vibes really came through and gave the feel of the happiness and love we all felt. She truly captured the day.

She provided us with “first look” photos while we were on our honeymoon, and we received the full album within 90 days.

We wanted to update our review after they shot our wedding in June. Matt and Jess did such a lovely job. They were with us for almost the entire day and captured every perfect moment of our wedding day. They were so fast and efficient when taking our pictures. Honestly, one of my favorite moments from our wedding day was after the ceremony when Matt and Jess took pictures of my husband and I. It was such a sweet time and they made us feel so comfortable! My family was very impressed with how smoothly they made the day go. We received our sneak peeks and were blown away! I just looked through them again and got teary eyed! Definitely would recommend Matt and Jess as your photographer! I also believe they can do video. I guess that was our one regret was not using them as our videographer!!! We actually didn't have one at all.

Jess is AMAZING! She did our engagement photos and they turned out perfect. She helped choose a place for our photos and was very quick with editing and getting the photos back to us. We are looking forward for Matt and Jess to shoot our wedding!

I could not have imagined having better photographers to shoot my Ojai-Indian fusion wedding. From the moment they arrived on site, they were incredibly sweet, accommodating to cultural specifications, and captured such beautiful moments without met knowing. Matt and Jess created stunning portraits and unforgettable moments, while keeping it all natural. This was their first Indian wedding they shot, and they were able to get in and capture all of the right moments, details and interactions during the ceremony. All of my friends from India were immensely impressed with their ability to photograph an Indian ceremony.

Out of all of the moments throughout the day and night, Matt and Jess managed to get so many in-the-moment shots, bringing back the magic and emotions from the entire experience. The moment I opened up their links to the photographs, I was in awe, almost in disbelief to see unimaginably stunning portraits. I have no idea how I am going to select my favorites to put in my album!

Not only was their work outstanding, they are truly a magical couple. I am so grateful for their understanding to work with us in a less traditional way of wedding photography, accommodating the cultural needs, and sharing in such a meaningful experience. After all of the speeches, Matt leaned over and shared with me how both he and Jess felt this was one of the most special weddings they have been to. Everything felt perfect that night, and they were able to embrace every part of it.
