I had to take my boyfriend in. We were seen within 15 minutes. Our nurse Remy was so compassionate and friendly, great at her job! Our doctor wad attentive and figured out the problem fast. Happy we drove here instead of stopping at hartford.

After my surgery I have to say the staff was fantastic. After my surgery I stayed overnight the nurses we great. Rebeka and Carmen went out of there way to make me feel comfortable. They both were very friendly and checked in on me to make sure I was comfortable.

The reason why I gave two stars is because I found a lot of things about this hospital to not be right. Staff driving like idiots in the parking lot parking like idiots in the parking lot. Respecting courtesy is not there. Brought it to other doctors attentions of what was going on especially that I almost got hit in the parking lot trying to cross the lane going to the birthing center.. mind you it was at the crosswalk. Then when it came to my son's birthday were just rushing through the situation like they had an agenda just to get us out of here. Don't get me wrong there were good staff members there a good majority of them just like manners courtesy in a bedside manner. I would not recommend having a child at this hospital. It's not a bad place if you need to. But there's just surely things that they should be doing that they are not. Not to mention the fact that they did not handle their selves appropriately had a paramedic when bringing my wife into have the baby that she felt some kind of concerns towards me and I got held out of the hospitaluntil my wife and myself question the situation as to what their problem was. And then they go and say that the paramedic had a concern side effect of the matter is if that is really the situation then they should have brought that concern up right away instead of hearing concern jumping the gun and doing what they did instead of finding out. I'm not going to go into too many details but suggestion I don't think this hospital should be used unless necessary

My brother ended up here for 2 days while awaiting a rehab center opening and was treated horribly. I witnessed it all or id never believe it!! Two stars because of Dr Shapiro and the triage nurse Shannon.. id rate one star if not for them.the rest of the staff really not helpful. Try to ask someone a question and they'll quickly tell you it's not their job. The absolute worst. You wait forever for help to the bathroom. Not sure if it's a staffing problem or just plain incompetence but it's pretty bad here.staff has time for socializing (showing vacation pictures) but no time to care for the unfortunate people that end up here . Alot of people staring into their lap tops for some unknown reason and too busy to help the actual patients. Just such a totally bad experience, I realize it's an ER not a regular floor area but to be left in a hallway with no care at all for over 8 hrs was really ridiculous. The only staff member I saw come around was the billing clerk.i saw her come by at least 6 times.they're staffed for billing but nothing else.

This hospital just progressively gets worse and worse. You go in for one thing and they focus on something else and ignore what you went in for and send ya home still having the same problem. Then you tell them you cannot take certain medicine and the reasons you cannot take them and they end up giving them to you anyway and when you have a bad reaction they act like they have no clue why it happened. This hospital has become hit or miss when it comes to treating patients. Nurses and other employees flirting at nurses station instead of taking care of patients. You turn on your call button because you need help and no one comes they just shut it off and ignore you. When they finally come into your room you tell them what you need and they act like they are bothered having to do their job. You go in because you are in pain and they leave you lying in pain for hours, sometimes as much as 4 hours. Doctors talk over you and never listen to you. Something needs to be done about this place. How the Record Journal published a story about this being one of the best hospitals in Connecticut I do not understand, such a joke. If you have the choice to go to a different hospital do it because you will not get quality care at "Mistake" Hospital.

Went there and was quickly screened. A possible diagnosis was given to me. Waited over two hours to be brought inside. Once inside I was placed in the hallway area because they had no rooms available. This is where the problem starts. For the next four hours I was only spoken in length to get information for their billing. During that time the employees there would just walk past you, wouldn’t speak to me, unless you asked them for something. Would have expected for professional from a hospital, in which the bill to the insurance company exceeded $7000 for a five and half hour visit.

I would never go to the emergency room at this location again, unless my life depended on it.

The front desk lady at the emergency room, wearing glasses and was light skin, was putting her opinions on what happened in an incident as to why we were there. She was assuming things about my dog as if my dog is a viscous dog. She was only putting her cents into my story because she had said she hates dogs. She went ahead and told everyone who was working with her near the front desk. So unethical

I had a life event and I went to midstate Hospital and they took care of everything. They were fantastic from start to finish. Dr. Santiago was fantastic. All my nurses nurse assistance technicians everybody unbelievable Care thank you very very much. You guys save my life. Thank you, Russell Mansfield, JAy
