Great off-road experience in Monument Valley! Cheryl was very welcoming and great in sharing information about Navajo and their land. This was a well spent 2.5 hours and we had a chance to see a lot of different aspects of the Valley. Totally recommend for everyone that visits!

This tour was amazing! We took my 87 yo dad who uses a cane and they were very attentive. Comasheena was a wonderful tour guide and even sang for us in her native language. Beautiful! We also enjoyed a presentation by Loretta on Navajo craft and traditions. Amazing! Highly recommend

Decided that a guided tour was the way to go. This tour left a 8:30 so met the advice that morning lighting was best for photography - and it was good. Advantage of a guided tour is that you get to see moor; Navajo guides have access to more than the general public. Jameson was our guide. He was excellent. Drove very carefully and cautiously. He was a great source of Navajo history and culture. I recommend the tour and our guide.

Spend the money, worth every dollar. I took the 3 1/2 hr morning trip, taking you deeper into the Valley. There is a shorter trip but not as adventurous.
The best part was they pick up at the KOA office and bring you back in time for lunch.
The tribal guide was very informative and gave a very enjoyable experience. You do have an added expense of entrance fee and gratuity. The stops to do a photo option are short. Indian Jewelry at many stops but not much time to see. Driving your vehicle in is not wise unless you have the proper vehicle. Traffic gets heavy by noon at the first few stops then the road gets worse and most turn around.
There are a few walks involved, not long but walking in sand my be a challenge for some.
. Don't worry how your hair looks as the open ride will rearrange it in seconds. Take a lite jacket as there is a chill in the air from time to time.

We had a great backcountry Monument Valley tour with Cheryl and Duffy for our private group. We had a fun ride off road in their outfitted trucks.

The tour lasted 2½ hours and we felt well taken care of. Never rushed and the views were beautiful. Listening to Duffy playing his flute and Cheryl signing were highlights of the trip. We learned so much about the Navajo people and their rich history. I highly recommend this trip and request Cheryl as your guide.

We had a good time on the tour she was very informative. And the views are amazing. She took us into the back country where you can’t drive your own vehicle. So you get to see so much more than driving yourself. I would recommend the tour to anyone looking for a great adventure.

Tour: Extended Photographer Tour

Our local guide, Bruce, provided us a unique perspective of the valley. Blending Navajo history, and geology, along with his personal experiences while growing up as a child in the valley in the 1970s, gave us a truely local insider's view of the region and its history.

The tour route included all the major sites, as well as sutes used in John Ford western movies and commercials. We had plenty of time at stops to take photos. Plus, we were treated to a both a native song and one played on the flute. We also stopped at one of the local resident's ranches for some information on traditional wool weaving and sweat lodge tours.

The 4 row open-air jeep was comfortable. The roads were mostly well manicured. There were porta-pottys at several of the stops.

I would recommend MV Tribal Tours and would use them again.
