I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Motel 6 in Chico, CA, and I must say that my experience was made even more enjoyable thanks to the exceptional service provided by host Crystal. From the moment I checked in, Crystal was warm, welcoming, and attentive to my every need. She efficiently handled my registration and ensured that I had everything I required for a comfortable stay.

Throughout my visit, Crystal consistently demonstrated a genuine commitment to providing outstanding customer service. She was always available to answer questions, offer recommendations, and provide assistance whenever I needed it. Her friendly demeanor and positive attitude made me feel valued and appreciated as a guest.

The room was clean and well-maintained, but it was Crystal's hospitality that truly made my stay at Motel 6 in Chico stand out. She is an asset to the establishment, and I would not hesitate to recommend this motel to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay in the area.

Thanks to Crystal's excellent service, I will definitely consider returning to this Motel 6 location in the future. WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER

I don’t usually leave bad reviews — even when a stay isn’t great, I just move on. But this experience was so bad that I couldn’t let it slide.

I know no one checks into a Motel 6 expecting luxury, but I at least expect the basics: a clean room, working amenities, and a safe place to sleep. Unfortunately, even that was way too much to ask here.

Normally, I stay at higher-rated hotels, but because of a large event happening in Chico, most places were sold out. I had to settle for something more affordable — and I definitely paid the price.

When I arrived, even though I had booked a room three days earlier, the front desk told me there was no availability. After waiting around for 30 minutes, they finally checked us into a room — and things went downhill fast.

The moment we opened the door, we were hit with the strong smell of cigarettes. The towels had black smudges on them, the floor was dirty, and the room just felt neglected overall.

Still trying to make the best of it, we attempted to get some sleep — but it was impossible. Around 11 p.m., the guest above us started stomping around, dragging furniture, and screaming in a way that honestly sounded straight out of a horror movie. Based on their erratic behavior, it seemed pretty clear they were under the influence of something.

Frustrated, I decided to go to the front desk to complain. But when I bent down to put on my shoes, I made an even worse discovery: the room was infested with cockroaches. They were crawling inside my shoes, in our bags, around the bed, in the bathroom, and even inside the mini fridge. It was absolutely disgusting.

My girlfriend and I immediately packed up, shaking out all our belongings before leaving. I told the staff about the condition of the room, and the person at the front desk casually admitted they had a "slight cockroach problem" — but were still renting the rooms out anyway.

I asked for a refund since we hadn’t stayed the night, and was told the manager would call me the next day. Of course, that call never came. When I drove back the following day to ask in person, they told me refunds weren't possible because we had booked online. No apology. No accountability.

I’ve stayed in plenty of budget hotels before and have never experienced anything remotely close to this.

If you’re considering staying here — do yourself a favor and find literally anywhere else.

Best motel, 6. I've ever been to rooms are completely cleaned. Smell nice, no bugs. Friendly service area has a few places around to eat. And everything else is within close driving distance,

The rooms are gross. They smell even worse. I stayed one night and have reservations coming up which I will be canceling and booking elsewhere. The showers had mold and the room smells of urine, wet dog and smoke. Walls has marks as if someone had a dog just pee all over the walls. Couldn’t use the heater when I turned it on it smelled so horrible. The smells coming from the room made the stay unbearable. Not to mention the fighting out front at 12am. Wouldn’t recommend staying. I would spend the extra money on knowing I have a clean and safe room for the night.

Wonderful staff..grounds taken care and had beautiful flowers and green grass..perfect for walking our little dog..our room had a smokey smell, but was clean, neat and good shape..the 99 hwy was noisy at nite on the side we were on. Dennys was right there beside motel....AJ + Avish were polite, friendly + accomadating..will stay again..thankyou🇨🇦

I know this is a motel 6 but I paid 98$ for a single bed room. It will not allow me to upload the photos here! But The walls were discussing! The shower was broke and discussing! The toilet was not clean! The bed had someone else’s hair all over it! I have gave this motel a chance before when my 1 year old found hella dust bunny’s on the floor mixed with roach bodies. That was last summer so I thought I would give them a try again. Highly dissatisfied! Not to mention I’m a bigger girl and they put me on 2nd floor. And called me because I was taking a shower to late and under me was complaining! I never in my life got in trouble for a taking a shower to late at a hotel!

The lovely staff charged an $80 deposit, claimed they don't charge a deposit unless customers have a poor history with the business. Tried to say they didn't know who the staff member who charged us was and refused to pay me back. Pulled up the video footage and tried to say we didn't give them the money when my son is clearly pictured placing both a $100 bill and a wad of 20s on the desk. Do not recommend, place should not be in business. Outright swindled my son.

I am at a loss for words on the kindness warmth of the management and the entire staff. I can only say BRAVO BRAVO I love you all as members of my family. I choose to go no where else but here at My 6 in Chico CA. Thank you thank you so very much.... And 5 stars are not enough.
