MEMI has been insensitive to the people of Covington, Kentucky with noisy, raunchy music and now to the communities on the north side of the river. How can you refuse to engage with the community while you are requesting state dollars for your new venue? Save Sunlite pool!

Zero respect for Cincinnatians. Zero respect for families. You can take away an almost 100 year old family spot where it was cheaper to swim than anywhere else in the entire tristate. That’s pretty sick to erase The Worlds largest recirculating pool. Some ppl have no where to swim when it’s summer. We weren’t even able to say goodbye, you just took it away.

I will never give my money or time to MEMI/CSO ever again. They have proven that they do not care about the city they serve when they made plans to destroy Sunlite Pool/ Coney Island. Supposedly their a "non-profit" organization. They should have their non-profit status taken away immediately! They should be ashamed of themselves! Coney Island cannot ever be replaced. "Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you got til it's gone. They paved paradise and put up a parking lot." Cincinnatians will never forget what you've taken from us!

Destroyers of happiness and history. Terrible organization that runs along side of the so called non profit, CSO. Do not support either organization.

We have an incredible family resource, Coney Island’s Sunlite Pool, that this company is destroying in order to make ~another~ new music venue in Cincinnati. Sunlite Pool is a safe and fun place where thousands of middle and working class families spend their summers. MEMI is taking away this historic icon for an unaffordable venue for many of these families and an unsafe space for children to go even if their families can afford expensive shows. There is absolute blood on the hands of the person who sold Coney to them, but the greedy, corporate higher-ups at MEMI & CSO are unwilling to compromise with over 24,000 people who have signed the petition to stop the cement fill-in and save the pool. Their parents, grandparents, and great grandparents are rolling in their graves. Not to mention all of the historic figures who fought for this land to be a place for ALL to enjoy forever. I will never attend a concert at the new venue or any other MEMI venues ever again, and I encourage every good soul to also boycott for life... Sick and wrong!!

HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!
Your callousness regarding the destruction of Sunlite Pool and the surrounding areas will not go unnoticed. It's disgusting that you have no regard for the people of this city who care about our beloved historical landmarks. I have been an avid attendee of CSO and shows at Riverbend and PNC Pavillion. However, if you destroy Coney, I will never attend any events attached to CSO or MEMI moving forward. And that goes for my spouse, our 3 children, and their spouses. We have discussed this at length and all of us are in agreement. As well as many extended family members who are disgusted by this senseless act.

CONEY😡

Please people of the tristate, go to Coney’s page and tell them about your great experiences that our Grandparents, Parents and their children plus new generations have had. Lets flood their page with sweet memories or questions. I alfeady did. Here is what I wrote:

Why are you closing, youre a Cincinnati ICON. Another one bites the dust? My mother remembers taking to paddle-wheeler to the dock where she would dance at Moonlight gardens. Progress is not the answer or a reason. Coney should be given Historical Status and SAVED😤😤😤😠😠 One of many unhappy people. What funds need to be raised? Is $ the issue, workers, schedules? Surely there is a way, IF YOU WANT IT!

MEMI and CSO are responsible for the destruction of Sunlite Pool at Coney Island all in the name of money. Cincinnati doesn’t need another music venue. BOYCOTT MEMI AND CSO!
