I always check reviews before deciding on a hotel to stay at. The majority of reviews for the New Haven Hotel were very good. However, there were some negative comments too.
I decided to take a chance that the negative comments were the rare, experiences of a few. I decided to register with the New Haven Hotel because of the majority of great reviews, the location which was the most desirable to me for this trip, and because I found a good rate for my two-night stay.
Upon my arrival, I was pleasantly surprised by the lobby's well designed and decorated appearance. The trip up to my room and the room itself did not disappoint!
In the evening, I walked to a local eatery and had the opportunity to experience the diversity of people on foot, on a chilly night enjoying a walk in the city.
I highly recommend the New Haven Hotel without any hesitation and I would definitely stay there again.

Great hotel—very clean and well-maintained! We arrived late, and the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. In the morning, both front desk attendants were just as welcoming and even helped us take a family photo. It was a wonderful experience overall! The location is excellent, and the parking felt very safe.

We had a wonderful stay at the New Haven Hotel! The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. The location is fantastic, with Yale University just a short walk away, making it ideal for exploring the campus and nearby attractions. Parking was convenient, too – there’s a garage across the street with a direct walkway to the hotel. We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our short stay here. The location was perfect. The extremely large lobby gives the place a classy vibe. Our room was clean, bathroom was nicely updated. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding and towels were good quality. We would definitely stay here again but next time would request a room with a better view.

I would stay here again!!! for starters the lobby is definitely ecstatically pleasing to the eye. Its spacious vibe is comfortable and chic. Our room was cozy and quiet. The view of the parking deck through the large window that was coated in dust could've been a bit more inviting, but at least it was sunny. The room was clean, and the bedding was quite comfortable. It would've been nice to have a microwave in the room; as it would have put a damper on the Lobby to drag food up and down the elevator and into such a chic space. Now, the bathroom was a Clash of The Titans! First turning! on the light was accompanied by the loudest fan EVER! It gave me Motel vibes from the 70's Show. The toilet sits low with a large school style handle. The shower is only about 30 inches wide (touching the walls was unexpectedly gross) and about 80 inches high. I did appreciate the shower soap/shampoo/conditioner being locked. I don't think it was designed with those over 5'7 and 120lbs in mind. This hotel is within walking distance of almost everything and we enjoyed the sites. As stated in the beginning, we would stay here; again.

I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. As a nursing mom the idea of traveling filled me with anxiety. The staff was more than accommodating and put me at ease. They do everything they can to make you comfortable, the rooms are clean and is walking distance of anything needed.

Sular at the front desk provided outstanding customer service, making me feel welcomed and valued from the moment I arrived. He went above and beyond to ensure my check-in was seamless and all my needs were met.

Stephanie was equally helpful, offering assistance with a smile and ensuring my stay was comfortable. Their genuine care and professionalism truly stood out.

The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located, making it the perfect place to stay. Thanks to Sular and Stephanie, I’ll definitely be returning on my next visit to New Haven. Highly recommend!
