My husband and I had been planning to elope, then changed our plans at the last minute to have a surprise ceremony during a party we were planning with family and friends. 7 days prior to our party, I contacted whatever local wedding officiants I could find online and I’m so grateful Mickey was the first one I heard back from. After our first phone conversation, I knew we didn’t need to look any further. Mickey was the perfect person to officiate our ceremony and I felt confident and at ease as soon as we decided to work together.

We agreed to have Mickey write our vows and gave her as much information possible regarding the history of our relationship. She quickly got to work to write “our story” which would become our vows. She worked with us to be sure to get the message right, and we ended up with vows we truly will always treasure. It was heartfelt and beautiful, but she also went with the flow, had fun with us and made it all easy breezy and lovely. A number of our guests asked me later “who was this amazing woman who married you?” We’d wanted something quick and funny, beautiful and unique, but most importantly from the heart. Mickey, thank you for helping us pull off this surprise and make for an amazing and unforgettable evening.
