I suggest go to another hospital if you can. In Sioux City University of Iowa Medicine for example. I give this 1 Star just because there are three doctors that we had a great experience with. Reason why I give a star. But I have to be truthful. This place likes to make you make different appointments and if you're not careful they like to charge you outpatient then your insurance won't cover most of your appointment. Unless they do inpatient. Like University of Iowa charges you impatient all the time not outpatient for example. Outpatients out-of-state in their eyes and impatient in state. That's how they work. That's when I learned that different districts of hospitals will charge rules differently. Especially this one. At first I thought it was my insurance deductible. I even have great insurance But they even explained it too it's how this hospital runs. they will try to charge you outpatient it depends on how many times you go then they will charge you inpatient. Especially if you do appointment on one side of the hospital then the other. That's what they even told me to they will charge differently with that as well. So be ready to pay $300 to $600 after you go. Then once they charge you impatient you won't have to be worrying about that much anymore. Now if you're rich like a lot of the Dutch is here. Then its not a problem but when you are middle class or people that are from college that don't have a lot of money. Be aware. Especially how the last president left us with inflation this place isn't really affordable to be continuously going.

My husband's stay began in ER and I give 5 stars to Doctor Clemens and the nurses. I was very impressed. My husband was there because of a ATV roll over on the farm, from the ATV hitting a hole along the edge of the corn field. He was pinned for 2.5 hours until my son found him. He couldn't reach his phone, because of how he was pinned. The PT also receives 5 stars and all the nurses and CNA's. It was our first time ever in the Orange City Area Health System. I highly recommend them...
Thank You!

If it wasn’t for Dr. Moeller being an amazing doctor, I’d give this hospital a 1 star rating instead of 2. Lately, I’ve had bad experiences with the receptionists and a nurse. In one instance, when I had to cancel and reschedule a NST during my pregnancy cause it conflicted with my nursing school schedule; the receptionist at radiology asked me if my doctor knew I was cancelling my appointments. Totally none of her business and unprofessional. Then recently a nurse stopped us at the door and said we couldn’t be seen if we didn’t have insurance for our 4 day old newborn yet. This is not the nurse’s job and none of her business regarding insurance otherwise she should be in the financial department instead of a nurse. Considering on changing hospitals although it’d be tough to not go to Dr. Moeller anymore.

I don’t care much for hospitals, but if I had to go to one it would be Orange city area health! The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable! The birthing center people are top notch! The food is delicious, and comes in a timely manner. Glad my wife chose them!

Very unhappy with my first time doing an ultrasound for my 32 week pregnancy appointment. There was no privacy in the room, especially when I had to change to get ready for it. The ultrasound lady kept coming in and out of the room and the way she did the ultrasound was very rough. It shouldn’t be painful and I had my husband with me who was very confused on the care and privacy we received during this appointment. The lady seemed to be on drugs, as she was very hesitant and disrespectful. The doctor we seen is from Sioux Falls was also not very understanding and didn’t talk to us in a calmly manner. We could not catch up to what she was completely saying because she was talking so fast with the “okay? Okay?” At everything she said. We were waiting for this ultrasound and happy to visit, but it was a terrible experience with the staff and doctor. I wish i was referred to a different clinic, doctor, and ultrasound tech. We will complain to the board of health. Hope they cleaned up the crystal like powder that was on the floor by the ultrasound table I had to lay on. Very bad staff

Although most of my experiences with doctors here have been completely fine, I had a very poor experience with one of the family practice doctors a few months ago. I went to him with concerns about a couple moles, which he checked out. But, without asking or warning me, he lifted up the back of my shirt to look there. It was unexpected and extremely uncomfortable. Doctors should ask for consent just like everybody else.

I thought it was very odd, disrespectful, and unprofessional that the physician was not wearing a mask in the hospital or in my family member’s hospital room, considering masks were being required hospital-wide. Everyone else was adhering to this policy.

Other than this strange encounter, the experience was good. The nurses were delightful and the place is clean and inviting.

ER front desk lacked empathy, professionalism and helpfulness when it came to assistance. It really seemed like they just hated their job, why work where you help people if you don’t want to. Physicians and RN’s were very helpful though!
