I was so lucky to find Brent and Oregon AT. I had recently bought a rig and started looking at off-roading and overlanding. Through his excellent and really fun courses (I have done two, I am signed up for my third in December, and I will probably put my teenagers through some next year), extensive off-roading and overlanding experience, and extensive product knowledge, Brent has saved me from making many, many mistakes - the least of which would have wasted large amounts of money; the worst of which could have had serious safety implications. I would completely recommend working with Brent and Oregon AT for all your needs regardless of whether you have just started or have been doing this for years.

I've worked with Brent and Oregon Adventure Trucks twice now on the Intro Training course, Total Approach to Recovery and the Cold Weather Skills Course. We've also run into each other in the field and he's always been super pleasant, helpful and engaged. Brent is a wealth of information and skills, and comes with a healthy dose of real care for the land, trails and vehicles with which we enjoy them all. Brent's shop is well stocked with the right goodies to get out there and enjoy your time on the trails. I would not hesitate to stop by or give him a call to learn, stock up or just talk shop.

The introductory off-road recovery class with Oregon Adventure Trucks helped me gain confidence, practice safe skills, and become comfortable with the limits and capabilities of my rig.

Met new friends, and am inspired.

This review is for the Intro to 4WD course put on by Oregon Adventure Trucks.
Prior to the course, I have had some offroad experiences; but just enough to know that I needed a better base of skills.
This course was so much more than I expected. We learned all about various 4WD types, our vehicle specific information (we spent an hour crawling all over our own trucks and filling out a worksheet detailing the vehicle specs), fixing flats, understanding and applying the principles of torque and traction, utilizing differential lockers and each gear (all transmission gears plus 4Hi & 4Low), and so much more. The first day was mostly classroom, with hands on tire repair and the individual vehicle specs in the afternoon. Day two was spent in the field, driving our vehicles under the instruction and oversight of the instructor. And it was a blast!
The instructor, Brent Baker, one of the co-owners of Oregon AT, was excellent. He has clearly taught before, and did a great job at teaching to both the experienced and inexperienced in the class.
I should add that I drove 8 hours to attend this course and it was more than worth the time invested!

Amazing experience! Brent & Aaron are super knowledgeable and patient. They helped me and a private seller with removal and install making our transaction smooth. Brent had so many proactive suggestions to ensure best experience my first season without FOMO buildouts. I appreciate these guys & look forward to many more visits as I build out the topper camper. Thank you OregonAT!

The off-road training course was excellent! Brent is a phenomenal instructor. I gained a wealth of knowledge in just two days through his course, I highly recommend it to anyone who is new to off-road driving and wants to learn how to keep yourself and everyone around you safe off-road.

The shop itself sells a good selection of high-quality vehicle accessories from reputable brands for overlanding, camping, vehicle recovery, and more.

Stop in and say hi, you won't be disappointed!

My wife and I attended a two-days “Introduction to 4x4 Driving” training course, lead by Brent. It is without the slightest hesitation that we give 5 stars to Brent and to the training course. Here are our top 3 reasons why: (1) Brent’s skills as an instructor are in the very top tier; he is very precise and clear when covering the material, answering questions, and guiding a herd of very dissimilar vehicles and drivers on backcountry roads; his knowledge and practical experience with off-roading is very impressive; his patience and calm attitude when handling slightly clueless “students” (me) ensures that everyone in the group got the most they could have gotten out the training; his ability to react to unforeseen issues (reorganizing the two days to work around excessive temperatures, managing the late arrival of a student on the hands on driving site - me again) ensured that the “class” got all the benefits of the training even if the standard schedule was upended. (2) The rhythm and content of the various parts of the training worked extremely well for everyone attending; in my close to 70 years I have attended all sorts of classes, trainings, and seminars; this one rates at the very very top in terms of fulfilled expectations and cost/value ratio. (3) The “wholistic” aspect of what we were taught was a great and invaluable surprise to me; I was slightly nervous that the two days would be single-mindedly focused on core automotive mechanics; there was necessarily a good amount of that… but ancillary aspects of off-roading were approached too: the importance of preparedness should vehicles become disabled over several days (basic survival skills); the importance of “treading lightly” to ensure continued access to public lands for off-road recreation; the criticality of knowing our vehicles and our off-roading gear as thoroughly as possible; etc.)
We will absolutely work with OAT again when we are ready for more advanced training; we will also not look any further than OAT to help us with a few modifications of our vehicle we’ve had in mind for quite a while. We wanted to find a trustworthy and very competent outfit to help us… our search is now over: Oregon AT it is!
Note: we don’t own any OAT stock and we are not related to anyone at OAT… we’re just very happy customers.

This is your place for everything overlanding. They sell AT along with many other products and supplies, but they’re so much more than that. Wiring, lighting, solar, to creative problem solving, they cover a lot of bases. Plus, they are affable and are fastidious about the details. This should be your starting point.
