Well we were looking for an inexpensive motel just to sleep in, and well if that’s what you’re looking for then I suppose this place works. I’ll start off with that you check in through a computer screen so there’s no interaction with staff which is strange to me. By the looks of the broken down cars, and the people hanging out by them at all times of the day that there’s people living there. I wouldn’t say it’s the safest feeling place, but it was fine in the end. The room was cramped but cleaner than we expected. It’s close Seaquake brewery, and the beaches so the location is pretty decent.

Terrible, terrible! I do not recommend choosing this motel. Very very dirty!! We have stayed in many motels but this one is terrible. The first thing we noticed upon entering was the strong smell of chemicals. I had to open the door to get the smell out a little. Very dirty chairs, dirty microwave. We couldn't heat food in it. There was no table. How we managed to have lunch is unclear. There are curtains with holes in the windows. Never stay at this motel!!

We rented two rooms. One room smelled very strongly of chemicals but my friends texted me in the night to tell me someone was breaking into cars in the parking lot and that their sheets were dirty. My friend was absolutely freaking out. We couldn’t address it with any real people because there was only a virtual worker on a screen in the office. Since it looked like blood on the sheet, they didn’t sleep with it. The other room smelled horrible but was an otherwise uneventful night. We’re do not recommend these lodgings.

When I go to the front desk to check in I expect to deal with a real person physically behind the desk, not somebody on a computer screen videoing in from who knows where. I generally refuse to do business with such establishments cutting back on personnel to the detriment of customers but needed a place to stay that night. Then another guest coming out warned me of the disinfectant smell in the rooms, probably to hide the moldy stink others mentioned here. That settled it. Looked for and found a better and less expensive motel up 101. Pacific Inn also wanted to charge way more than the prices listed in Google Map.

For starters the front desk isn’t manned you have to deal with a ring camera, they person the other end wants to know when exact times of arrival. Example we are taking our time driving down 101 beach hopping we got a call at 10 am asking when we where going to be there, check isn’t tell 2 we aren’t planning our vacation around getting to a hotel. They wanted us to be there by 4 we said no we got there when we got there. When we showed our room had 2 piles of dirt in it the floor hadn’t been mopped in I have no idea how long. The beds were dirty, only 2 outlets worked, and we had 1/2 a roll of toilet paper. The next morning we went to ask for more toilet paper but no one is at the counter. So talking with the camera again the person wanted to know our exact schedule, when we are coming back etc. but we don’t want anyone in the room

Absolutely disgusting, the moment I walked in I could smell mold. The shower curtain was stained and the shower floor had black something in it. The base boards were broken and there was stuff on the walls and doors. I looked around and was able to even see the mold. The tv would turn on and there was sound but no picture and the remote would only turn the tv on and off. We slept above the covers because the bed just felt like it was leaving a residue on our skin. My door also wouldn’t work with the key, it only worked to get in the night I showed up. I left my daughter in the room while I got my stuff in my car and came back to not being able to open it I ran to the ring camera and got buzzed in to talk to the kiosk and got a new key ran back and still could not get into the room, at this point I had to call the police to get me into the room they also tried getting multiple key cards and they all didn’t work. The officer finally told the kiosk guy to call someone to bring a key. The manager showed up and instead of first opening the door to get my daughter out as I get sobbing and very panicked she asked the officers if they had asked for my ID and she then asked if I could get it out for her I grabbed it but insisted for her to open the door first. She opened the door with the master key card and had the audacity to look at the two officers and myself and say it works just fine. (Mind you we in total got 4 cards that all did not work) My daughter had been trying to open the door but instead pushed the dead bolt over, the manager went and called her maintenance guy who was 5 minutes out to come and get it open. She informed us of this and then disappeared. The officers were then able to find something to get the window open and we got her out. The manager was still no where in sight. She had no sympathy for what I had just went through and I canceled my second night there and asked for a refund. I spent $205 for this room and only got $87 back I understand I had to pay for the one night I stayed but considering the condition of the room which I informed her of and the fact that my room was the only room that had issues getting in (there were other people there getting in and out of their rooms just fine) you would think I’d at least get half of what I paid back.

PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE. The most unprofessional staff and I couldn't get in touch with the hotel manager after TWO DAYS of asking for help. They have an "emergency" phone number displayed out front and 16 missed calls later, no one answers the phone.
There is nonexistent WIFI in the room (even though it is available in the office) and no matter how many times you ask for help, no one will help me out. The front office is unstaffed 90% of the time and you will be met with a.ring button for a receptionist.
Save yourself the trouble and go book your room somewhere else where they value customer service. Disgraceful!
