My wife and I just had our wedding here and could not have asked for a better place for our big day! Al was incredibly kind and easy to work with – a truly delightful host and a wonderful help in solving last minute problems. The venue itself was GORGEOUS and absolutely perfect for our party size and theme. The Hay Loft space was perfect for us as we got ready and made a great place for people to retreat to for a few minutes of quiet during the festivities. I’ll add photos once the photographer is done editing them, but I absolutely can’t recommend this place highly enough!

Palmer House Stable is a BEAUTIFUL venue, and the owner Al is great to work with! It was such a relief in the lead-up to our wedding to know that Al was on our side and that everything would be handled with caring professionalism.

We also loved staying at the Old Literary Hotel nearby. What a wonderful location so conveniently near the venue of our dreams!

We used Palmer House Stables for our son and daughter-in-law’s baby shower. I cannot say enough good things about Al and the venue. Al was so easy to work with and made it easy and stress free for us to host the shower for approximately 50 people. There was plenty of room and we enjoyed the beauty of the stables too! We will definitely use Palmer House Stables for our next event!

Al is a shady man who hides cameras and records couples on there first night. when we had our wedding he snuck in and was staying in the other room absolutely creep. We left and didn't stay the night. DONT take your special day here

Amazing wedding and event venue right on the Main Street of a thriving scenic Iowa small town. Close the many excellent bars and restaurants. The service here is amazing as are the beauty and cleanliness of the facility.

We hosted a grad party for my daughter at The Literary Social Club. The space is truly special. Exposed brick, wood floors, decorative white lights - It’s beautiful! Several of our guests commented on how pretty the space was. The hotel/building owner Al was so accommodating and easy to work with. We would definitely host another event there!

I was very impressed with Al at Palmer house. I received wonderful customer service and he was quick to respond to messages and very accommodating to help out. Overall, Al was very understanding and effortless to work with. Can’t say enough good things about him!!
