This is one of my favorite hotels! The management is fantastic! Very friendly, helpful, and work quickly. The rooms are big and all have a fridge and microwave.

We checked in, looked around and left to go find another hotel. The smell of cleaning products was SO strong that my asthma immediately started bothering me. Listen to all of the reviewers that mention the strong smell- it's overpowering. We weren't expecting a fancy place, but it just felt unsafe. Carpets looked decades old and desperately in need of replacing/cleaning. There were cigarette burn holes on the bedspread. As a mom and kid traveling by themselves, it didn't feel safe enough. There is an attached Indian restaurant, when we pulled in the first thing we noticed was trash piled up all over the place, along with caution tape across the front entrance of the hotel. While the front desk staff were very kind, we couldn't handle the strong smell of the room.

I recently stayed at Passport Inn & Suites in Middletown, CT, and I must say it was a pleasant experience. From the moment I checked in until the time of my departure, I found several aspects of this motel to be commendable.

I stayed here a couple nights before a friend's wedding. For $80 a night you know you're not getting the Ritz, but the place was clean, comfortable, convenient, and has a solid pet policy - I was able to get a last minute room for myself and a dog with no hassle at all. Very quiet area and close to several major roads. The people that run the place were very nice about me locking myself out of the room at 5 AM too - whoops. Bonus: the showers get nice and hot pretty quickly, which is not something I can say about every place I've stayed!

The rooms themselves are pretty clean. Bathrooms are okay but decent. Door to the hallway doesn't close all of the way and one of the lamps started sparking from the outlet on the base of the lamp when in use. Staff is okay, not good or bad. Has own personal deck which is nice. Comes with large curved TV as advertised. Very quiet staying here and other guests we've seen have been nice.

We found the room to big large but very outdated. The room was very clean, new coffee maker with nice clean fridge. The beds were very comfortable. Slept very good. The area was very quite. The man who checked us in was very friendly and he brought out the hotel parrot. We enjoyed our interaction with the both of them. We would stay here again.
