Amazing tour with an awesome tour guide. Carl was most knowledgeable not only about the valley, but also with local tribal history and people. Highly recommended, especially over the larger tour operators. Being able to be immersed in the Navajo tribal lands and culture was unforgettable.?

Carl took our family out for a sunrise tour of the valley. So happy with Carl’s knowledge of all the locations and when to arrive in order to catch the sun / shadow at the right time. Would highly recommend - it was a much more up close way to see the valley’s majestic views.

TAKE. THIS. TOUR. We did the sunrise tour. Carl was our guide and he was fabulous. Taking time to show better angles for our photography as well as showing us tricks with our phones we didn’t know. Our photos came out incredible!! This is the tour you want to take!!

I did both the sunset tour and the sunrise tour with two of the Phillips brothers (Carl & Carlos). Both were experts on the region and able to take to me to excellent locations and showed me a lot of great set-ups. I got some great shots of the beautiful Monuments valley. Highly recommended ! Thanks Guys

So disappointed we had really been looking forward to exploring the backcountry areas and this company was highly recommended by friends of ours who toured with them a few years ago, but Carl messed up the booking. We had reserved a 2.5 hour tour after speaking to Carl. The tour was supposed to be in an enclosed vehicle, instead they farmed the tour out to another company that showed up with an open air vehicle so we opted to not take the tour. We didn't want to deal with the dust and heat for a 2.5 hour tour that was to begin at noon on a day when temps were forecasted to go into the 90s. The onsite coordinator, Sharleen, tried really hard to find us another option but there were no other enclosed cars available. As she was speaking to the other tour companies and mentioned Carl, I saw a few eyes roll, maybe this is a pattern or has happened before? Regardless, we were frustrated and disappointed and felt like our time was wasted with having to wait for a tour that never happened.

We did a sunrise photography tour of Monument Valley with Carl and it was one of the best things we did on our holiday! We learned so much about the Navajo culture and Carl was great at showing us where to get the best shots. Brilliant experience, 100% recommend!

The tour was absolutely fantastic! Our guide was super experienced and he knows the region so well. We asked about timing for sunrise tour before we booked, and their response was very quick and helpful. He timed every spot so well that we were able to catch some amazing lights and colors, and he also explained the history and the culture of the valley. Overall it was an amazing experience, definitely recommended!
