We loved our Platypus Wine Tours on Friday in Napa and Saturday in Sonoma. It was a great opportunity to visit smaller family-owned wineries, get special tastings (and attention!) and be safely driven around the areas. Our guides Rob and Kelly were extremely knowledgeable and eager to balance teaching us and facilitating the party each day. Would absolutely recommend!

We spent a wonderful day in Napa with Platypus. They took us to a few hidden gem, family owned vineyards. The wine was fantastic and our driver/tour guide Linda was informative and LOTS of fun. I would highly recommend taking their tour if you are in the area.

Had a great time! Awesome hospitality very welcoming. Great way to meet new people and hear their stories. The lunch provided was great especially the quinoa salad. Went to really nice location with amazing wine. Bought wine from every location. Definitely recommend using them.

Must do tour, don’t hesitate and book it. Jason was the best tour guide, driver, lunch provider, photo taker and all around person. He had great knowledge about wines and the wineries in general. The five of us from Michigan truly enjoyed our day with him and with all the new friends from MO, IL, FL. Such a fun experience and it was so nice to let someone else do the driving. We did 3 stops, ($25 per stop for tasting) all picked out and arranged by Jason. All three were wonderful and the day just got better and better.

Platypus went above and beyond for our wine tour. They picked us up where we were staying and brought us to three beautiful and unique wineries (and dropped us off!) Plus took care of any wines we purchased along the way by keeping them safe on the bus! They also gave us a delicious lunch. Jason was our guide. He told wonderful stories and histories of the areas we were in plus surrounding places. He was very easy to talk to and for asking / answering questions. He was very accommodating. We are so happy with our tour guide Jason and platypus wine tours.

Where to start? Call Monday 8:34 Angela answered... yes we have room for you today 10:00, Army is your tour guide and will be in touch....

Army calls and he will pick us up at 10:00. We say great... we go out front early and he is already there! First On...

Pick everyone else up, introduce yourself, everyone is polite but stiff...

Off we go... First Vineyard Paoletti.. private room... Army was our wine sommelier.... educated us on each of 9 sampled wines - generous pours ... bought two... beautiful wine caves and vineyards!!!

Off to Hans Faden winery... people are less stuffy... sampled 5 wines.. wines were nice... view exceptional... Onsite sommelier was fun. GREAT LUNCH!!!! Army took everyone separately and made sure you left with quality (non-selfie) photos.

Off to Bennett Lane Wineries... Spectacular scenery. Everyone is BFF. 2 couples from the UK, a couple from Germany, 3 "Babes" from Vegas.. ah Yikes -> wife said nice young women. Honeymoon couple, and one other US Couple. Someone asks who wants to sample the $300 Cab? Everyone ponies up $25 each and we sample... I have heard that we should drink the best wine first.. we should have!

Time to go back... Army tuned over the sound system to UK peeps and we had a jamm'n nice ride back.

Turns out 9 of us ended up going to dinner at Bounty Hunter BBQ (recommended). The young folks drank IPS and we had espresso marini's.

Army added so much value to our trip, his knowledge of the area, wine, 3 type of soils, ect - created an over the top adventure for us!

Thank you Angela for getting us on Army's tour, Army you know everyone had an outstanding. (We Did!)

We had the best time during our wine tour! Luis was a fantastic guide. I loved hearing about the history of wine growing in the area as we were driving to the wineries. The three wineries we visited were so fun. Each had a very different vibe and it was interesting to hear from the different winemakers about the wines and the wineries. The wines were amazing and the group was fun to hang and chat with! Felt like three wineries was the perfect amount to visit. Definitely would recommend this tour and can’t wait to come back!
