I attended a memorial for my best friend, who passed suddenly. There were about 45 - 50 people, and we were in a room facing the beach. The venue was great, the food fine, and the staff so friendly and courteous.

I had my wedding here in October and am so happy we chose Port N Starboard for our reception! Ashley was so incredibly attentive and met with us to many times to make sure everything went smoothly. Every request we had she made so easy and we were able to make the reception exactly what we wanted! The food was delicious and everything went so smoothly. Thank you so much to Ashley and all of the staff for making our day so special. It was a rainy day but the picture window of the boardwalk and the water really set the scenery.

We have our event here every year. A great venue, beautiful views of the Long Island Sound and theThames river. A great accomodating and friendly staff. A minor downside is that the restroom facilities are a.bit dated. The staff is simply great.

Went to this banquet hall for a high school reunion. The service was good and the bartender was the best—pouring good drinks. The beach and all the Ocean Park festivities were right nearby. They even had a symphony happening. Very nice location.

Did a great job for our wedding. The handful of bad reviews had me skeptical but they really did a great job and I have to give them credit. Our servers were awesome. Food was good. Price is great because you are essentially combining the catering and venue and bar fees into one charge so you save money.

I attended a work holiday party there. The food was alright, parking is ample, hall is plenty large. The bar is in a separate room from the hall, so you have to leave the party to get a drink. They only had one bartender working a party of over 200 people, so the line was long. Also it was freezing in the facility. The hall was a little chilly, but the hallways, bathrooms, and bar were freezing. Using the ladies room was quite uncomfortable!

We did an event here for 300+ people with access to the bar as well as a meal served. The bartender was rude when asked to make drinks instead of just informing people that certain drinks weren't available. The food wasnt bad, but the prime rib ran out 2/3s of the way through serving the guests and my wife and i were standing next to the chef when he told a server, "Oh well, they get whatever they get!". This is the second time we have done a large event here simply because it was cheaper. Oh well, i guess you get what you pay for. There wont be a third time.

Just had my wedding there.. Beautiful place & Great food However STAFF was a mess Very unorganized! And RUINED MY WDDING and Vision!!! Since RACHEL no longer works there the staff is lost and rude!! I asked for DIM lighting they had all light on bright smh They rushed to clean up before my event was even over they ended my event a hour early! I Had to tell them to take out FAVORS for guests. Guests went to get a drink and came back to tables and their dinner plates were gone!!! My SET up & Tables were all WRONG even after going over it with them for hours The lights were not put into my centerpiece bottles!! They threw out my left over CAKE!! and all the food i wanted to donate to a homeless shelter! NO ONE was in charge or communicated properly when we should walk down isle! we were told wedding party would have appetizers and drinks while taking pictures and that never happened I the bride did not get a drink until AFTER our first dance and my maid of honor got it for me. They rushed to clean up buffet while people were still eating. I spoke to head person Ashley who stated theres nothing they can do to fix the disappointment smh I was quoted 1 price in April when I booked then was given a different price 10 days before wedding! VERY MESSY THE WHOLE THING!! Very unprofessional and very disappointed in the service for the price we were charged! and the FACT they are un willing to work with me to fix this makes it even worse! They dont care they ruined my wedding they just want the money! DO NOT HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE! They will rush thru the whole thing and do NOT communicate with bride & grooms wishes!
