We've visited Porter Mountain Stables several times, and every visit has been fantastic! My daughters always have a great time, and the experience is consistently wonderful. Riding through the forest surrounded by pines, spotting deer, and taking in the serene creek and lake views is truly magical. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, making every ride enjoyable and safe. We will definitely be back for more memorable rides!

We have gone horseback riding at Porter Mountain Stables several times and it's been great everytime! They allow children 6 or older to ride as well. My daughter who is 7 loved it! We had a great guide and everyone there is very friendly. For my daughter and I to go on a 1 hour trail ride it was $130+tip. They have waters for sale for $1 if you don't bring your own.

We were on our honeymoon and decided to go for the 2 hour trail ride. Our wrangler, Katie, was an absolutely awesome young lady. This is an incredible young lady. We had a fantastic time. Highly recommend Porter Mountain Stables, and as a bonus request Katie as your wrangler if possible.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Porter Mountain Stables

My wife and I traveled a long way so she could participate in the Taylor, AZ 4th of July rodeo. We brought along a 5-year-old horse with almost no experience. We needed to find a way to exercise her in this new environment, at a higher altitude, and give her more saddle time. During a Google Maps search for local arenas, I found Porter Mountain Stables.

When I called and explained our unique situation, asking if we could possibly use their arena, they didn't hesitate to help. The owners were incredibly welcoming. They have a beautiful facility, and it's quite busy with many options for trail rides and other equestrian activities.

They also offer some awesome merch, snacks, and drinks.

Overall, our experience at Porter Mountain Stables was fantastic. Their generosity and hospitality made a significant difference in our trip, and I highly recommend them to anyone in the area.

We did a 2 hour trail ride in late July with our children and we all loved it. Our trail guide was helpful but relaxed and laid back. Our horses were calm and trained to walk and stay mostly in line. The trail crossed a small stream a few times which made it a little exciting. Overall was a great experience and glad we went!

We had a great time taking a trail ride in beautiful Pinetop-Lakeside. We are definitely NOT experienced riders. But Keith was a great trail guide and Banjo, Soldier and Cash were gentle and patient horses! Thanks Porter Mountain Stables for helping us create a favorite memory of our mountain-top retreat!

My husband and I had a great experience. We road Si and Oreo for the 1hr tour. Our guide was a little lady on a white horse (sorry I don't remember her name), but she was great. The ride was peaceful, and the scenery was beautiful. We would definitely come back.
