We had the chicken parm and the pork chop special. Both were very good. Marinara was excellent. Atmosphere & presentation are lacking a bit, but it seems that they know how to prepare a good Italian meal. Only other critique is that the salads were a bit tired looking. I would recommend for casual Italian cuisine.

Portofino's in Berlin is classic old school charm. From the interior design to the Italian music playing.. was all fantastic! Service was fast but sternly, serious type of friendly. Fried mozzarella is ok, a small serving size. It tastes fresh and the sauce is really good with it. Buffalo wings had just the right amount of sauce but could have been cooked a bit longer to get more crispy. Chicken Parmigiana is thin cut and a decent serving size. Gnocchi is a big bowl cooked correctly with a nice sauce. All food items were served hot which was great. Would return again.

First time dining here.. WON’T be our last! Server (Adil) was super efficient, friendly and nice to chat with. The Veal Portofino was tender and delicious, the marinara A+ and well, the meatballs passed the test!

Very good place to go for Italian food. It has a nice atmosphere. Their staff does a Great job. The prices here are decent. The owner of this fine establishment is very involved and interacts with customers.
You can get reservations, but if not, the seem like they do their best to accommodate people. During Covid, the had an outdoor area that was somewhat of a temporary set up, but now it looks like it is in a different area and looks to be more permanent.

Food Disappointments:

Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to our expectations. The chicken was dry and the salad lacked freshness, which was disappointing. We were particularly underwhelmed by the lack of flavor variety. It felt like the same sauce was used in almost every dish, overshadowing the individual tastes. We've had better Italian food elsewhere.

Excellent Service:

On the bright side, the service was top-notch. Our server was friendly and attentive, making our dining experience pleasant despite the food issues.

Overall, while the staff was commendable, the food left us wanting more from an Italian restaurant.
