Wonderful team kayaking trip with Pro Rafting Tours. Donny and Cherry made it easy for all of us to enjoy our day. They were attentive to details and happy to cater the trip to meet the needs of our group. From the safety check to the river runs- we had a blast! The guides were fun, engaging, and helpful. My guide, Tennyson, made my trip an exciting one! They took great photos for us to enjoy and remember our day on the Kern River. Thank you! We'll be back!

All I can say is - what a blast is was to spend a whole day kayaking the Kern River last week with Donny Hazard and his crew!!! Pro Rafting was warm, caring, and professional, had great equipment, taught us the basics of how to read the river, how to safely deal with getting dumped out of the boat, and were right there to aid us (fish us out!) when we did end up swimming. We had a wonderful lunch provided by Pro Rafting including a decorated birthday cake for one of our members. Donny's crew was genuinely kind and helpful to the 10 of us throughout the day. It was an exciting day with a bit of fear, but we felt that we were in very good hands. All of the guides on this trip: Donny, Gus, Sammy, Gwen, Dallin, Tennyson, and Ryan were genuinely interested in us and friendly throughout the day. A week later I am still thinking about the Kern River trip and looking forward to doing the multi-day Salmon River trip in a year or two!

I was part of a day trip with Team Survivor San Diego, a dragon boat team of women cancer survivors ages 41-80 years old. We all had a blast. From making reservations to communicating what to expect and additional resources on what to do around the area, Donny Hazard the owner of the company was very knowledgeable, kind and helpful. His guides under the leadership of Donny were an integral part of helping to ensure we were all safe navigating the rapids while having fun. I was impressed with the small ratio of participants to guides, and the hospitality of everyone from Pro-Rafting Tours. Cherry Hazard helped ensure that everyone was well-fed and taken care of. The spread for lunch was delicious especially the variety of brownies. Even more special was a surprise birthday cake they brought out for a member of our team who was turning 80. Donny and his team were flexible and took some of us on the raft while some of us paddled with guides in the afternoon. I particularly enjoyed the company of Tennyson (Tiege) for my last run. We had excellent conversation, and I felt like I could relax not having to worry about steering- he navigated our kayak expertly through all the rapids so I could be carefree for my last run. Thank you Pro-Rafting Tours for a lifetime of memories for me and my team. From the very first contact, when we were trying to decide whether we would do this, Donny was upbeat, friendly, and informative. We are a group of women cancer survivors, aged 40 to 80. While we had been kayaking some during Covid restrictions, none of us had ever kayaked on a river, let alone one with rapids. Donny did a fabulous job of letting us know what to expect and how to handle any eventualities. He was always calm and positive. The members of his crew were all friendly and helpful. Going down the river was definitely exciting and lots of fun. Cherry and her crew served up a great lunch followed up by a cake to celebrate my 80th. What a fabulous day! Donny and Cherry are a perfect team. I am a Scout Leader in Southern California, and we were looking for a topflight trip for our Scouts on the Kern River. Cherry made the reservation process simple and was helpful in finding a spot to camp. Donny was the ultimate professional and really allowed for a hands-on experience. Donny's knowledge of rafting was truly amazing, and he allowed the Scouts to take part in every part of the experience from inflating the rafts to running the river. Our group of 13 women kayakers spent a wonderful and exhilarating day with Donny Hazard's Pro Rafting Tours on the Kern River. Although only a few of us had previously experienced a white water river, we all had spent months warming up for the trip on our ocean kayaks. Lo and behold we discovered that running river rapids is totally different from riding waves in the ocean, but Donny and his guides kept us safe and comfortable throughout. I especially appreciated my guide Dallin's kindness and skill in steering through the heart-stopping rapids at Ewings, with barely a drop of water landing in the kayak. I highly recommend Donny Hazard and Pro Rafting Tours.

So much fun! Donny of Pro Rafting Tours answered our groups “pre-event “ questions. His team all helped us with a very special 80th bday celebration of one of our paddlers and they let us run the rapids for hours...we had a blast. Donny’s river analogies really reflected on life lessons. I am forever grateful for his guide team’s safety, knowledge, fun and patience. I felt safe and well taken care of our entire day on and off the water.
