I have never booked anything with this agency whatsoever. In fact, I've never even heard about them. That being said, there were two $0.01 pending transactions on my credit card as if someone was trying to see if my credit card was an active account.

I reported these transactions to my bank and this was resolved. All I can say is, there may be a mole in that organization that is using credit card information fraudulently. How they got my account number, I'll never know. Based on what I've read on these reviews, I would definitely not book with this agency.

One other thing... I don't always believe when someone writes a 5-star review saying that services rendered were "excellent." I've had an experience where the actual staff of a doctor's office was writing reviews to boost their ratings. The staff member was not bright enough to use a different name, and I found out this scam when I went to their office. Again people... don't believe what you read.

Our Haleakala Sunset Tour on Maui was booked through Project Expedition although the actual tour operator was Polynesian Adventure. The tour itself ended up fine and sunset was beautiful but the experience as a whole had a few glitches and left a bit to be desired.

The confusion started in the time leading up to our tour. At the time the tour was booked (August 2021) the itinerary was advertised, on both the Project Expedition and Polynesian Adventures websites, as including a stop at the Kula Lodge Marketplace on the ascent and dinner at Cafe O’ Lei at the Dunes after sunset and descent. We double checked our confirmation and the websites in the weeks leading up to our tour (February 2022) and both stops were still listed. I checked in directly with Project Expedition the week before our tour and was finally told that those stops had been removed from 2022 itineraries, evidently due to staffing shortages at the restaurant and the marketplace. So while my wife and I were aware that dinner would not be provided, many of the participants on our tour were not. Unfortunately the websites are still unclear, even in April 2022.

When we were picked up at our hotel, the driver didn’t say a word to us, other than to let us know that we needed to wear masks on the bus. We proceeded to pick up guests from two other nearby hotels, and the driver still didn’t say anything. We assumed she was our guide and thought it strange that she wasn’t chatting us up about our tour. We finally stopped at a Safeway grocery store near the airport, which our driver told us was a bathroom stop, and that if we wanted snacks they could be purchased there. It wasn’t until we returned from the store that we found out another bus had arrived with passengers from other hotels, along with the bus which would be our actual tour bus. As we were being loaded on to the tour bus we were informed that whatever we bought at the Safeway would be our dinner. Many passengers had not realized this and went back into the Safeway to buy food, while three others got off the bus right then and announced that they were not going to go.

Once we got on the actual tour bus, Mitch our driver was fantastic. He narrated the journey to the summit, stopping at a visitor center for a bathroom break and photos, then explained to us what would happen at the top. The sunset itself was beautiful and memorable. In hindsight, I would have driven it myself to save on the confusion, give us more time at the summit and allow us to hang around to see the stars. As a tour, however, the “Mitch” part of the tour was great. The discrepancies in the tour description and the confusion it caused was unfortunate. We knew what to expect, which is why I am rating the tour four stars. Not everyone had that same experience!

For your own safety STAY AWAY from this agency, once you sign up for a trip they will ask you for a picture of your ID or passport, no info about what they want to do with it or how they plan to protect it, smells fishy. I didn't want to share it so they cancelled my trip.

One star only because I can't give zero ehh

They wasted my time on holiday to find out 2-3 days after booking to have it promptly cancelled as they "weren't" able to verify my ID along my card holder info during booking. I had been sending over my official state-issued ID with my creditcard.
Bad customer service. Take long to answer.

EDIT after reply;
I did send all information about my credentials along with my ID, exactly what the team has asked for. Perhaps someone didn’t have their glasses on.

I have booked directly with the tour operator, which doesn’t require the long and slow method, and got confirmed within minutes. Not days as I experienced with you.

Just enable the payments with SCA, 3DS or 2FA with our banks. Manual verifications are just not todays standard anymore and extremely time-consuming.

My husband did the Wreck and Reef dive (85 feet deep) in Cancun in February. The guides were great, but the trip itself was a little scary. Though he’s an experienced diver, as were many others on this trip, the swells were very high and most people got sick. In fact, one person threw up in their regulator during the deep dive. His regulator was leaking which forced him to buddy dive with the guide until they could reach the surface. The staff was great and very professional, they knew exactly what to do. This is not a basic/beginner dive! It is a fast decent due to the current which does not give you time to check your equipment before descending past 20’. Although this was an amazing experience, my husband stated that he will enjoy more relaxing dives from here on out.
