My wife and I made our first pilgrimage with Proximo Travel in 2011 and it was wonderful! We have continued traveling with them since then and have averaged at least one per year over the past 13 years. All our pilgrimages have been exceptional as we have made pilgrimages to the Holy Land, Italy, Poland, France, Germany, Croatia, and Portugal to name some. We are currently scheduled to go on a pilgrimage to Greece/Turkey in 2025. I believe 13 pilgrimages and continued plans to do another this year says it all about our experience with Proximo Travel. All these pilgrimages have been spiritually uplifting, as well as opportunities to experience the local culture and see both the historical and religious sites of the regions. Catholic Masses every day in special locations that we never would have imagined in our lifetime is for sure a bonus of traveling with Proximo.

I have travelled both as a pilgrim and as a group leader on many Proximo tours for nearly 15 years. They have always been professional and courteous and capable, making our trips run smoothly even with the inevitable difficulties associated with travel, including weather, unexpected closures and the Covid epidemic. Their guides are great and the meals and hotels are more than adequate. I am scheduled to take another group to Italy in 2025. This will be my eleventh tour with Proximo. That should say a lot.

Extraordinary experience! The agency organized a trip to Rome's sacred sites with great professionalism and attention to detail. Every stop, from St. Peter's Basilica to the Holy Stairs, was carefully planned, allowing us to experience a spiritually enriching and emotional pilgrimage. The guides were knowledgeable and available, and the itinerary was well-balanced between moments of prayer and cultural visits. An impeccable organization that made our trip unforgettable. Thank you Proximo!

I have been traveling with Proximo for 15 years and always try to go with them. Their guides are the best, most knowledgeable I've found. They don't require huge groups as most operations do and it is wonderful to have a smaller group where you get to know everyone. Can't say enough about the guides--so knowledgeable and friendly.

Be sure to purchase the CANCEL FOR ANY REASON TRAVEL INSURANCE!!!! Proximo keeps your money no matter the situation. We were supposed to go to Israel but the trip was changed to a different location and you were given the opportunity to move your trip to the new location or postpone the existing trip for one year in hopes they will travel to Israel in 2025. Also the travel insurance does not transfer to a different location.
First, our guide Vincenzo was AMAZING!!! He is Catholic and was very knowledgable. He kept track of 28 of us at every location. Proximo should have two guides for this size group. This man was exhausted even though he never let you know it.
The hotels became progressively worse as the trip went on. The beds and pillows were like sleeping on concrete. The breakfasts were very good at each hotel. The dinners were very good the first night however they went steadily downhill after. I think we had hamburger helper one night. The vegetables were canned peas and carrots. The fish was fried, unidentifiable and inedible.
My friend and I travelled business class so we were booked on a completely different itinerary as our other pilgrimages. They would not change this at all. We were on United and the others were on Delta. I know Delta has a business class. We also had very long layovers, 5 hours going to Rome and 3 1/2 hours returning. The anxiety and stress this caused us was unnecessary. We all should have flown together.
At the airport in Tampa, I realized that my global entry and my TSA precheck were not given to the airlines even though I supplied that information to Proximo. Upon arriving at our destination, I took a picture of my global entry and emailed it to Proximo asking of this to be entered. I was assured it was. NOPE, not so, I arrived at the airport and nothing was on my reservation. I had to go through the regular immigration line. The itinerary was amazing! I would never travel with Proximo again. They perform the minimal and when you contact them they seem annoyed at any request.

Holy Land trip was cancelled in 2020 due to Covid, Proximo would not grant refunds and changed the date of the trip to 2021. In 2021 the trip was cancelled again due to Covid. It was then rescheduled to 2022. In 2022, a doctor's note was submitted because two years after the scheduled trip, a medical emergency came about. Proximo still refuses to reimburse for this trip that would have been taken if happened in 2020 or 2021. How can a Christian Faith based company not refund a trip that they themselves cancelled twice and rescheduled two years later? This is a veteran with a serious medical condition and documentation of medical status.
I'm disgusted with this company's lack of ethics and poor morale. They kept over $4000 and would not even transfer the funds to a possible future trip for when the person might be better. They would not work with us at all. We were willing to take a trip a year later if things got better medically and they said no.
