We spent one night at Quality Inn, Malvern. Room was more than adequate. Had a king bed, mattress was bit hard for our taste. Sink and vanity was beside the "closet" which was fine unless there are concerns about disturbing someone else trying to sleep. Room was clean. Refrigerator came on handy for us. We had to check out early next morning, missed breakfast, but it certainly looked adequate. Nice Coffee bar was separate from breakfast area, tasty coffee! Desk staff were nice and friendly when we arrived and checked out. Only complaint: our room was on first floor right across from lobby and front desk. Could hear talking and activity late into the night. Wish lobby area had been quieter during nite hours. Hotel is in a convenient, busy area of Malvern.

Only giving a review to say the young man working the desk this morning (9/20/24) should be fired and given some time to think about how to treat customers. A couple of customers came in for breakfast while I was eating with my kids and the lady’s purse fell over on the table knocking over her large cup of water making it spill all over the seat and rolled across the floor spilling tons of water everywhere even going towards the cabinets. Nobody was at the desk or anywhere near so her husband reached behind the desk to grab some towels to clean it up real quick. After a while this particular employee comes up and asks what’s going on and his tone of voice sounds pleasant with everything at first so I thought his exchange with the husband was a joke and they knew each other or something but it ended up getting heated cause the employee would not leave it be and insisted the man should never have grabbed his perfectly clean/new towels to clean up the mess and he had no right to do that etc etc. The man tried to end the conflict saying case closed won’t happen again but the employee wouldn’t leave it be and finally just kicked him and his wife out. I’m sorry but as much as we enjoyed the rest of the stay and the room was great and food great this employee was so out of line we will never stay here again unless we know he’s not there.

Kim, the manager, was fantastic, and just on that account alone made the hotel bearable. She gave us a different room when the other one was a problem, and I hope the new owners do as she was told and fix the place up as they can. We stayed for business, and it filled a need and I appreciate that they had No bugs. That is a major thing.

I don't know where to even begin. As I checked in the rates had changed from the online booking I had made, some 73.00. I paid it. I was given a list of rules, the most important was NO SMOKING, as it was a no smoking room. The room they sent me to was occupied. I opened the door and there was a man in bed, and a man in a chair smoking pot, the room was full of smoke and awful smelling. The man of course screamed at me, and literally chased me out, I was already trying to back out of the room as fast as I could. I went downstairs to confront the front desk, they claimed " it happens ", and that smoking pot was legal in Malvern Arkansas. I asked for a room as far away from the pot smell that filled the halls as possible. The entire 3rd floor hall smelled of smoke, cigarette and pot. I was put at the other end of the hall in a room that smelled like mildew, the room looked like it had not had housekeeping in a long while. ( Thankfully I carry my own Lysol spray ). The tub was dirty, the towels were not hung up but put under the sink, the fridge was warm, but hey the microwave worked. When I went to lock the door, you could visibly see that the door had dropped and it had to be lifted slightly to be locked by the handle. The inside upper security lock was malfunctioning, and so tight it had to be forced shut and opened. The room key quit working after 24 hours and I had to have them fix that.
Breakfast, if you want to believe it was real, was awful. The attendant watched what everyone was getting on their plates, and was not happy to have to be there, and she by the way was the one who said " it happens , and told me that smoking pot was legal in Malvern.

If I hadn't already spent the money on this room I would have walked away but they don't refund and cancel reservations.
I do not recommend this Hotel.

Well, the first room (suite) smelled, there were small black flakes of who knows what on the bed. Stains on the couch. The fridge smelled, the stove was dirty. It looked as if someone lived there. When questioned about the room she said that someone had lived there and that it was not cleaned. The second suite was better but still not good, see photos. White stains on the carpet next to the bed, you can guess what that is. Stuff on the curtains and stains on the couch. The tub was cracked and I'm sure the people below appreciated that. One star only because I can not put a -2. Don't waste your time or money you will be disappointed.

Let's start with the good: location is fantastic. it's right off the highway, and you can easily walk to restaurants and Walmart. The beds were very comfortable, the sheets were clean, and the AC worked great. The employees were courteous. And the hotel was pretty quiet for how busy it was, we never heard any neighbors.

The bad: the rooms were not very clean. The floor was not vacuumed, the decorative cover that goes over the comforter was stained and had cigarette burns on it, the comforter was ripped open where the filling was coming out, my towel had black stains, and the walls had water damage. Even though breakfast is included, you can forget it. The breakfast options are limited, and the area where it's served is so small that it's frustrating to try to get food if more than one family is there at a time. It's much faster to go to McDonald's to grab breakfast. The key sensor to open our hotel room barely worked, so it took on average 5 tries of swiping the card to enter. Also the side entrance door to the hotel that is supposed to require keyed entry is broken so anyone can just walk in. This hotel needs some serious renovations.

Absoutley great hotel!!! I travel 180 days a year this hotel was just perfect. Good smell good people good vibes!!!

Positive: Very nice staff Negative: Smelled like cigarettes, the door to the room would not open due to glitch and it took 30 minutes to get into the room.
