A surprising experience, I thought it would be a little grimy but no the hotel itself is very clean, the room was immaculate except for the cobweb up in the corner near the window which most people wouldn't look for, or it would have been five stars.
Bathroom was very clean and the cleaner even took the time to emboss the new roll of toilet paper.
Shower had zero stains or mold, water pressure very good and the hot water is hot.
Very clean bedding and comfortable bed.
Was so impressed I left a tip.

Literally, the worst stay experience of my life started from the moment I walked into this place and had to wait over 45 minutes for anyone to appear to the front desk. Just to check in. Even after calling the number left on a weird hand written note. The lady at the front desk seems as if she hates her life and held captive in the hell that is this hotel.... My refrigerator didn't work,(only the upper freezer) food left in it with complimentary stains. The room seemed like it was already used or hurriedly cleaned with no bathing towels. Contacted the front desk and was told I had to wait until housekeeping came around tomorrow for towels. It's dead of winter and the heater doesn't work also told that I would have to wait on that as well for someone who never came. I'm writing this as day two, still no clean towels and no working refrigerator and luke warm heat. When I asked for a new room, I was told no.

I've stayed at every Red roof inn because I have a pet and I've became accustomed to staying there because I have a small rat terrier I've read over the pet policy and I've never read anywhere where it says if you have a well trained unproblematic pet, that doesn't bark, or damage hotel or interrupt the other guests that it has to be crated and can't be left unattended and the lady at the front desk monday 2/11/25 was very rude I was going to breakfast and to a birthday event and I was told by the woman that I had to take my dog with me and I couldn't leave him unattended as I've always done prior at other hotels and it just didn't sit right with me nor was it fair I don't put him in the crate because he's very subtle and calm, and she was rude and treated me like he's a 35-50 lb dog and he only weighs 8 lbs but the room was great and the location was convenient and amazing but the woman was very rude and clearly had an attitude and displayed a disheveled demeanor towards me so because they employed her the experience and rating falls on them

For people who run a dirty bedbug infested hotel they have a little too much attitude. I think they’re used to dealing with transients who don’t know any better but they’re rude and unprofessional. Seeing RAID cans on the housekeeping carts should have been my first clue this was a mistake. Sure enough saw a bedbug on the pillow and my arm had bite marks on it. We left early after paying in advance and we’re still waiting for a refund. My husband called to check on it today and the woman hung up on him. Nice service.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Red Roof Inn in Vernon, Connecticut, and I can honestly say it was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I've ever had.
The owners truly exemplify kindness and generosity, going above and beyond to support our military with special discounts, as well as offering reduced rates for those in need.
Their compassionate approach was recently highlighted in a local TV interview, where they helped an elderly man facing homelessness. It’s heartwarming to see such dedication to the community.
The hotel itself is immaculate, with clean, comfortable rooms and a lobby that make you feel right at home. The attention to detail is evident, and the warm ambiance creates a welcoming environment for all guests.
Location-wise, you can't beat it!
You have easy access to some of the best food in Connecticut. If you're visiting UConn, this hotel is a convenient and charming choice, just a stone's throw away from the campus.

This time around the room was perfectly clean, warm and comfortable. All facilities (tub, shower and sink) worked perfectly. The staff was very helpful and the lobby area was sparking clean. I will definitely be back!

Positive: Beds were very comfortable. Negative: The manager/owner of the hotel which was an older woman was extremely rude, unprofessional and had no personality. Having worked and managed various hospitality businesses I was disappointed. The service was down right deplorable.

This Hotel was filthy, my husband and I had to buy cleaning products to clean the bathtub. The Shower back up into the tub. The mattress had hard plastic that the bed is shipped in still on it. (now after seeing all the other reviews, I see they had a bed bug problem). There were stains on the couch, and the next morning we found a dead cricket by the bedside. Coporate only wants to give us points to go towards another stay, the location itself does not want to refund us the one night stay. We found another Hotel in the area to stay at which was a lot more money. Red roof inn was unapologetic and doesn't care about the conditions of their hotel. The dust on the furniture was so thick. The front desk looked like they were running a daycare. They were so unprofessional and the halls smelt like marijuana.
