Cool little park with amazing history. There are some signs that explain the conflict here. The park could use some attention and hopefully a budget can be set aside for it. I visited on an overcast day that allowed me to walk the park, read the attraction signs, and just take in what the defense of Little Rock would have been like.

Amazing how many volunteers keep this so well maintained, educational, and landscaped. We enjoyed a nice date night roaming the grounds, reading plaques, and imagining life and war at that very spot so long ago.

This site was worth the quick stop. There's an audio tour that you can do on your cell phone that I would like to do one day when not chasing a 2-year old. There are enough informative signs around that you get the jist of the historical importance and what had happened there during the Civil War. The buildings are neat to walk around- though you can't go un them nor can you see inside them, maybe you can in the summertime really not sure.

Nice place but some painful memories are exposed there. Lauding of the Confederate agenda. Nevertheless it's interesting ?

Reed's Bridge is an unexpectedly living Civil War site in the middle of Jacksonville. Annually there are reenactments, but the little homestead is active - gardens, flowers, up-keep - but no livestock. The site is also spread out in 3 nearby areas.
