If you want a remote feeling park with lots of great trails, character, old growth forest this is the place to go. It reminds me of my childhood Boy Scout camp that no longer exists. This is an amazing place to hike, trail run, bird watch and even ride your horse. I hope to camp here a couple times as there is no highway noise and the place is very well taken care of.

Very nice place to walk or hike. The maps are available at the info map display. There are.many trails to walk and a horse trail that winds throughout the area. The water falls is cute and the cabins are scattered along the trails with info. The bathrooms are in need of better servicing. There are no water or food vending. There are no bike trails at this location as well. The parking is ample and the walking paths are wide. There are many flowers and foliage everywhere. This is a very nice place to visit. You can walk it all in about 2 hours. Bring snacks there are many pavilions to take a walk break. Nice large lake but not great for fishing.

This used to be a Girl Scout camp, but it closed 10 years ago and now it's a public nature preserve.

This happens to be right across the street from my sister's house. We went on a great hike here with her. I think we covered almost all of the trails here in about 4 miles/2ish hours.

It's all very pretty and mostly shaded. There's a lake and the second lake has been temporarily drained. Seeing all the old Girl Scout buildings is really cool.

It's not crowded. We saw maybe 5-10 people there the whole time we were there and my sister said that's the most crowded she's seen it.

This is probably my favorite place to hike in the Cleveland area now!

What a perfect day for beautiful hike at Richfield Heritage Preserve.
It is a true blessing that this location was not purchased and destroyed for new home development.
Here you will find a 336 acre beautiful hiking treat, see all the beautiful wildflowers, cabins from the girl scout years gone by.
There is history here be sure to read up before trek, in the process of repairs is the mill house awaiting its new wheel from Kentucky!
The beautiful dance hall is dilapidated and in need of dire repairs there is a gorgeous stone fireplace that you can see from the window. The floor in the dance also holds natural spring dance floor so the women in the 1800s early 1900s could dance longer in evening hours and have relief from fatigue.
The Clearwater lower lake needs help as well its no longer clear but just needs help too.
They offer yoga classes, wild flower trails, bridle trails.
Keep in mind trails can be muddy, wear appropriate foot wear , and bring your water to stay hydrated. Stay on the marked trails not to disturb wild life.
Richfield Heritage Preserve rely on donations and volunteers to maintain this beautiful sanctuary.

Great park to go on a walk or run. Beautiful scenery and history to it. Used to be a former girl scout camp back in the 1900s.

Disclaimer: it features rather uneven terrain with large hills in some spots, careful for older individuals.
