Ringwood State Park is an absolute gem with the Shepard Lake, epic hiking & mountain biking trails that provides beautiful panaromic views. You've got these huge, ancient trees that create this incredible, almost magical light filtering through. And the Skyland Manor adds another dimension to the whole park. They've got this rustic, timeless vibe that just works.

Multiple natural backdrops with incredible textures are our favorite at this park.

If you're the kind of couple who wants something different, something authentic in your engagement/wedding photos, and you don't mind a little bit of adventure, Ringwood State Park is a total gem.

P.S. - a permit is required for professional photography/cinematography.

We came back to complete the Hansenclever Iron Trail from the Monksville Reservoir car topper lot. After slogging through a mile of muddy runoff, we turned back. The Jennings Creek Fire eliminated the underbrush, so there's nothing to sponge up the water, a temporary problem. Instead, we looked for signs of spring. We returned to Monksville Reservoir to see what's changed in one week. The ice was gone. A few boats were out. The wind is stiff, but the air's not as brisk. Then we went to see the explosion of crocus at Skylands Manor under the big beach tree in front of the mansion. There isn't much else. The night air is still freezing. It's still early in the utter scheme of things...

Truly a historic and beautiful part of NJ. Plenty of places to hunt, fish, hike and mountain bike and shoot clay targets at Thunder Mountain. The area mines and manor houses have ties to pre Revolutionary War times in our countries history. Robert Erskine (one of the early managers of the Ringwood Manor Estate) was George Washington's surveyor during the Revolutionary War. He also was the first person to form a militia in the state of New Jersey and he did it with his own money. While you are here please take a moment to remember him. He is entombed near Sally's Pond

The grounds are nice.
Many of the trees are changing color.
They give tours of the house, but you have to buy tickets.
Last tour is at 3 PM.
I didn't take the tour.
There are also some hiking trails.

I went to this place on a cloudy Saturday. Nothing is beautiful as nature. The place is good. Probably, one of the good ones to spend time, walk, and relax. There are three parking lots starting from the entrance. Also, Manson are used for events. I saw few improvements in terms of facilities i.e. mapping, putting signs.

Lovely views, a gorgeous mansion in the middle, nice open spaces. It's so odd that they don't fill the fountains until June.. makes no sense to me, it would look so much nicer. Friends were considering the location for their wedding but ended up picking another venue - we will definitely be back though to take a walk sometime. Traffic flow isn't the best - need to be careful not to smack into pedestrians at the park since there aren't any sidewalks along the road through.

This is one of most beautiful and amazing park I have ever visited in USA. It has this charming quietness that takes your solicitudes off your mind. I was actually surprised that it would be this comfortable. It has a museum too but unfortunately I didn’t have the chance to go inside for some reason that I can’t remember. But definitely i will go back there and I will visit the museum. Honestly, I’d need more than one visit to go almost over all the accessible places in the park. It’s very vast. I’d for sure recommend that park for families or groups, there is a barbecue spots and tables and everything to have a nice picnic and also to smoke some hookah👌
